It is no measure of health to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society

Imagine some mildly interesting factoids here, like ex-computer scientist, ex-Buddhist (quit the dogma, kept the spirit), occasional writer of novels. Worked part-time in technology and publishing, but nobody enjoyed that much.
The older I get and the more people I learn to know, the lonelier I feel. Is there anybody who is not completely absorbed in their own thoughts? Is there anybody who is interested in the well-being of their fellow beings, human or otherwise? Who has time for a conversation that is not an exchange of monologues? Who knows the value of silence? For whom friendship is not a mere commodity? Entertainment like a TV? Are there still any people who care? Or am I the only one on left this planet?
No so-called "AI" has been used in the making of anything presented on this homepage. None. Zero. The books have been written by a human being, the programs have been written by a human being, and the pictures have been taken or drawn by a human being.
"AI" is the greatest problem we as a species face these days. It devalues human skills and knowledge and replaces them with pseudo-facts, made-up bullshit, and uninspired, boring, and worthless "art". It regurgitates and amplifies the opinions of loud and uneducated minorities. It is used as a threat to control the working class. It destroys education and discourages people to think for themselves. It wreaks havoc on the human habitat. It is the biggest fraud in the history of humankind. A pump-and-dump scheme that only serves the super-rich at the cost of everybody else.
Friends don't let friends use "AI".
Yeah, I have written a lot of books. Most of them about compilers and LISP and two about Yoga (meditation) and Theravada Buddhism. Then I have also written a few novels and some essays.
Writing books has been a big part of my life. Most of my books are on the main page, but I have written many more.
My books do not really fit in a category. Even my textbooks tell a story. If you are looking for a neatly arranged textbook that compartmentalizes knowledge, these books are not for you. These books want to build understanding, not transfer dead information. The tone is light-hearted, but there is little or no fluff. I do not like to waste the time of my readers. There are lots of sample pages on each book homepage, so you do not have to buy the proverbial cat in a bag.
