I have a lot of G3's (from 2006 and older) and their taking up waaaay to much space that I now need for other things. So, with that said, I am willing to sell them for $3.50 each. All were taken from their boxes and placed on a display shelf, so they are minty minty.

Some people think G3 collectors are complaining too much about the Toy Fair. Well, who wouldn't be disappointed after seeing one single G3 pony at Hasbro's annual Toy Fair stand? First I was so thrilled about the Collectors Ponies I forgot about everything else, but then I realized there were little or no new G3 ponies in the pictures! I am worried about this. Hasbro has never done this before, period. I recently typed a rather exaggerated journal entry about the future of G1 and G3 ponies. Those who are interested, can read it here: It was nice knowing you.... G3 ponies... -__- Warning: it's a long, serious and depressive post. I can summarize my thoughts and feelings in a couple of sentences, though. I think the return of the Collectors Ponies marks a new period in the My Little Pony toy line. Hasbro is either planning to cancel the line as a whole and saving this release as some kind of 'specialty' (MLP's trump card, so to speak). (1) The other possibility is that Hasbro is actually testing the market for a bigger G1 re-release through the release of these new Collectors Ponies. Hasbro has therefore decided to cancel the production of G3s, or produce them more scarcely. (2)
Here's my opinion: I would love to see G1s back in stores, however if a re-release would result in a definitive production stop of G3 ponies, I am not sure how to feel about this at all. It's a double edged sword: I love G3s almost as much as I love G1s. =( G1s are a little more special to me because they were the original ponies and because I grew up with them, of course. Of course I would rather have a retro-line of G1s in stores than no ponies at all, but if the choice is between retro-G1s or new G3s, the choice is hard for me. When push comes to shove, the G1s win- they always win. They were the first ponies, the original ponies, the ponies I grew up with- you name it. But they win by a quarter of an inch- no more. I would miss the G3 ponies dearly.
I was wondering how other people feel about this? Is G3 dead, buried and forgotten already? Do you think Hasbro has some tricks up their sleeve and will release more G3s despite the disappointing Toy Fair? Do you think Hasbro plans to release more retro G1s? Is there a chance we'll see both lines equally represented in stores? Or do you think the time has come to bid MLP farewell...?
