Why 350?
Our name is an important number. It refers to the concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere that is considered the safe limit to avoid the worst impacts of climate change: 350 parts per million (ppm). We are currently at 423 ppm: far past the safe limit. Our name is a reminder that our fight to stop this number from increasing further is more important than ever.
