When I say this has been a labor of love, I really mean it. Originally, this was meant to be a video to bide my time until I could get my hands on some PGSM files without subtitles. Something to keep honing my skills and all that jazz. But as I worked on the video, I realized it was more than that. This was me falling in love with Makoto again.

Years ago, Jupiter was my very favorite of the Sailor Senshi. My tastes have since changed, and in many ways, I've left Makoto by the wayside. Creating this video reminded me of why she was my favorite to begin with. It made me admire her strength, her courage, her loyalty, and her tenacity. In short, it reminded me of what a freakin' badass she is.

I tried to use this video to juxtapose images of strength/triumph and defeat with Makoto. That should become fairly evident a few seconds in. But I also wanted to show that no matter how she gets hurt or who leaves her behind, Makoto will always weather the storm.

I meant to have this video up in time for Christmas, but I didn't, so here it is for the 3rd day of Christmas I suppose. :)

I mostly made this video for my own amusement. I've been asked when and if I was going to make a funny video, and... here you are. Yes, I do have a strange sense of humor.

First of all, this uploaded on my first try at YouTube. That's never happened before, and I have this feeling it never will again.

This is by far my favorite song by Megan McCauley, and I was so excited when I got this idea for an AMV. I think the lyrics, particularly the refrain, fit my understanding of Usagi perfectly. She may be one of if not the most powerful force in the galaxy, but she has so much vulnerability and, dare I say it, fragility. I don't always consider myself the biggest Usagi fan, but making this video made me fall in love with her all over again.
