In January 2025, aespa revealed more of the comeback, saying:

"It reminds us of the sun, sunlight, the feeling of molten iron, a furnace, a blacksmith. We asked the company to go all out, so we think you’ll be surprised."

In March, the song title got leaked wat buzzed many fans into guessing what this concept was.

On May 4th leaked a vague fragment of the music video Dirty Work. Part of the choreo was shown, what looked bold and different from what we've seen according to netizens. Also the outfits were surprising, with fur jackets and baggy streetwear. Not long after that, it got deleted due to copyrights. Fans were guessing SM took it down.

On June 5th, the official Intro got uploaded on Youtube. It shows metal getting molted and dripping into the letters 'Dirty Work'. Aespa changed their profile picture into the same lettertype. Also, in their bio stands: aespa "【Dirty Work】 ➫ 2025.06.27 1PM (KST) " ,what shows the release date of the comeback, June 27th.

The picture of aespa on youtube changed into the quote: Dont Look Back, Do Dirty Work. Then on June 9th, aespa uploaded the perfomance MV on Youtube, what shows the choreo and a snipet of the song itself. They also uploaded an animation from many necklaces with data from the schedule.
