Shops selling Arabian perfumes have multiplied in parts of Kabul since the Taliban returned to power, with retailers saying demand for high-end fragrances has grown, particularly among Taliban officials and members.
Perfume vendors in the capital’s Shahr-e Naw and Wazir Akbar Khan neighborhoods told Amu that oud, a premium fragrance widely used across the Middle East, has become one of their best-selling products.
