Anime Medley

Welcome to anime_medley: formally known as "Anime Chorus". This community has merged with Anime Hush to provide both a hush and lyrical challenge every week with participation permitted in both. This means you may submit both a lyrical icon and a hush icon if you choose.

♥ Each member may submit up to two icons per theme (2 for the hush and 2 for the lyrical) unless stated otherwise.
     a. Fanart is Not permitted. 
     b. Doujinshi images are NOT permitted. Know where your image is coming from.
♥ All icons must be anime, manga or from an RPG (ie: Final Fantasy, Star Ocean) and it must be from Japan only.
     a. Final Fantasy: Advent Children and Spirits Within are also permitted.
♥ Submitted icons must be compatible with Live Journal. [100x100 and less than 40k]
♥ Don't advertise your icon [this means don't tell your friends to vote for your icon - and do not post it -anywhere- until the contest is over].
♥ Submitted icons must be no more than 7 days old.
♥ Do not vote for your own icon.
♥ For the lyrical theme: your icon must contain 3 consecutive words from the song. Do not alter the lyrics. Do not add any additional text. Your icon will be disqualified if you do.
♥ For the hush theme: your icon must have NO text and may use NO tiny text or brushes that may be misconstrued as tiny text. This includes "stitches" or "X" brushes.
♥ Shounen-ai and shoujo-ai icons are permitted - Hentai is not!. Keep it tasteful.
♥ Do not use Live Journal user pics as a form of hosting. We recommend photobucket.com, imageshack.us, photojerk.com or tinypic.com. All of those are free.

On Friday evening, a mod will give you a set of lyrics and a hush theme. Icons can be from anime, manga, RPG game or CGI movie (FF: Advent Children & Spirits Within) of your choosing and contain at least 3 consecutive words from the lyrics provided for your lyrical sumission and NO TEXT for your hush submission. For your lyrical submission, do not cut and paste the lyrics together! They must remain in order. The icons can be submitted from Wednesday to Wednesday (1 week). Comments to the submission post will be screened. The submission should contain the following information:

Voting will take place from Friday to Sunday. Members of the community will comment on the "voting" post [comments will be screened], saying which icon they like the best - or a poll will be used. The icons will be numbered, so you merely have to state the number[s] of the icon[s] you like. There will be separate pulls for the hush icons and the lyrical icons.

Results will be posted on Sunday. New themes are posted the same night that voting goes up, so you will always have a new theme to start making icons for while voting happens from the prior theme.

Please direct questions to any mod by leaving a comment on a community post. This community permits cross-participation only if the icontests run concurrently. That means the icon is submitted to two communities whose icontests run from Friday to Friday for submission and voting happens from Friday to Sunday. Please mention in your submission post that you have entered your icon to other communities.
