Born on June 26, 1993, Ariana Grande began her career at 15 in the 2008 Broadway musical 13. In 2010, she gained popularity for playing Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon hit TV show Victorious and its spin-off Sam & Cat. After signing with Republic Records in 2011, Grande released her debut album Yours Truly, which spawned the top 10 hit "The Way" featuring American rapper Mac Miller. It was followed by My Everything (2014), which features Grande's first global hits; the sultry Dangerous Woman (2016); the Grammy-winning Sweetener (2018); and the critically acclaimed album Thank U, Next (2019), which features Grande's most successful chart-topper singles to date: "Thank U, Next" and "7 Rings".

Ariana then released her sixth studio album, Positions, in 2020 before going on hiatus from music to star in the Wicked double feature as Glinda Upland and returning with her latest album Eternal Sunshine in 2024. She has also contributed to the soundtracks for Charlie's Angels and the two Wicked movies. She is currently performing on the The Eternal Sunshine Tour and gearing up for her eighth studio album Petal, which will be released in July 2026.

Ariana Grande is one of the world's best-selling music artists, selling over 100 million records globally, and has 153 million RIAA certified units in the United States. She is the best-selling female artist who debuted in the 2010s.
