We created Crayon People to act as a place for People of Color to get easy access to news ranging from political articles to current pop culture. Check out the new articles from your own relevant group (Arab, Asian, Black, Latino Desi), but feel free to discuss articles in the People of Color area as well as other groups. Posting comments and discussing the articles is the point to this whole website.

We want people from diverse backgrounds to converse and debate in a constructive environment. So please help us spread the word. We are a non-profit site, so basically that means we have a $0 promotion budget, unlike these other corporation giants. But please let us know what you think. Wassup ladies? This community hasn't seen a lot of action, that i've seen anyways. Am I black? Nah. I'm Puerto Rican and Italian. But I am a lesbian and I got a lot of love for black woman. I hope I'm welcome here.

Anyways, I'm reppin the Bronx and i'm 19. I was wondering if any of ya braid for a reasonable fee. I don't mind traveling to you and I tip well. I'm looking for freestyle braid designs but just the regular straight back cornrow will suffice.

So holla at me on that tip or if you just want a new friend. One can never have too many of those ;).

I created this journal because it's so hard to find other lesbian women of color.

This is the Livejournal community for lesbians of African Decent in New York. It will also be open to all people of color. This is a place where we can discuss issues that relate to us, rant and rave, meet other women, make friends, etc.
