وتؤكد الدراسات أن البشرية تواجه في الوقت الحاضر مشكلتين حادتين، الأولى أن كثيراً من الموارد التي نعتبر وجودها الآن من المسلمات معرضة للنفاد في المستقبل القريب، أما الثانية فتتعلق بالتلوث المتزايد الذي تعاني منه بيئتنا في الوقت الحاضر والناتج عن الكم الكبير من الفضلات الضارة التي ننتجها، ونتيجة لذلك فقد أسهمت الضغوط المشتركة لكل من ازدياد الوعي بالندرة القادمة وتفاقم مشكلة السمّية في العالم إلى بروز مسألة الحفاظ على البيئة واستدامتها من خلال ترشيد استهلاك الطاقة كموضوع مهم سواء في مجال الفكر أو السياسة ومؤخراً فى مجال العمارة حيث يمثل اهتمام العالم في الوقت الحاضر بالحفاظ على البيئة واستدامتها، فالاستخدام المنطقى للموارد الطبيعية والإدارة الملائمة للمبانى تسهم في إنقاذ الموارد النادرة وتقليل استهلاك الطاقة وتحسين البيئة مع الأخذ في الاعتبار دورة حياة المبنى كاملة وكذلك الجودة البيئية، الوظيفية الجماليه .
من هما يأتى دور البحث فى إبراز دور المبانى الخضراء والعمارة المستدامة فى خفض وترشيد استهلاك الطاقة والمياه والموارد وتحسين الصحة العامة بواسطة تصميم وتنفيذ مبانى تتوافق مع العمارة التقليدية باستخدام نظم ووسائل تكنولوجية حديثة.

تعد ثورة الخامس والعشرون من يناير ليست فقط نقطة تحول من المنظور التاريخي والسياسي والإجتماعي، وال... more تعد ثورة الخامس والعشرون من يناير ليست فقط نقطة تحول من المنظور التاريخي والسياسي والإجتماعي، والاقتصادى . بل أيضاً نقطة تحول حضارية حيث لعب سكان الأحياء الغير مخططة عمرانيا دوراَ هامآ في إنتفاضة 2011 م كاشفين أوجه القصور في السياسات الحكومية في تلك المناطق. أما حقبة ما بعد الثورة، فلقد سلك سكان هذه المناطق مسعى جديدًا من خلال ممارسة الضغط على الحكومة للإعتراف بحقوقهم، مستغيلن بذلك غياب القوانين والتشريعات في الأشهر التي تلت الثورة. ولا يقتصر وجود هذه المناطق على مصر فقط، فهذه المناطق تغطي مساحات شاسعة في جميع الدول النامية
وأسفر الاهتمام العالمي ظهور ميثاق الامم المتحدة حول الحق في السكن، والإعلان العالمي لحقوق الإنسان بالمادة 25:
لكل إنسان الحق في مستوى من المعيشة كافٍ للمحافظة على الصحة والسلامة له ولأسرته، ويتضمن ذلك الغذاء والملبس والمسكن والرعاية الصحية والخدمات الاجتماعية الأساسية، والحق في التأمين في حالة البطالة والمرض والعجز والترمل والشيخوخة وغير ذلك من فقدان وسائل العيش نتيجة لظروف خارجة عن إرادته
وإستجابة لهذا الواقع وفي ظل المتغيرات السياسية والمجتمعية التي خلقتها ثورة 25 يناير وموجاتها المختلفة وفي الوقت الذي تكتب فيه مصر دستورا جديدا لها، تضافرت جهود مجموعة من منظمات المجتمع المدني المعنية بالحق في السكن وشؤون العمران للعمل على إنتاج «وثيقة دستور العمران» فى عام 2014 والتي تطرح من خلالها رؤية لتغيير حقيقي في واقع العمران المصري تنبني على أسس العدالة الاجتماعية والاستدامة والمساواة وهى مبادئ تحقيق جودة الحياة فى المجتمع المصرى فى ما بعد ثورة 25 يناير 2011م.
وتشمل الحقوق الرئيسية التي تطرح الوثيقة وهى المبادئ الاساسية للدستور المصرى :
1. الحق فى العمران
2. الحق في المسكن الملائم ومواجهة العشوائيات وتحسين نوعية الحياة
3. تحقيق العدالة الاجتماعية
4. تكافؤ الفرص بين جميع المواطنين
5. حق المواطن فى الرعاية الصحية المتكاملة وفقآ لمعايير الجودة
6. حق المواطن فى التعليم
7. حق المواطن فى بيئة صحية سليمة
8. الحياة الامنة للمواطن وتوفير الطمأنينة
9. الحق فى المواصلات العامة والحركة داخل المدينة
وقد تم تضمين هذه الحقوق فى دستور عام 2014 فى المواد (8/9/10/18/27/41/46/59/78/79/236)
إلا أن وجود هذه الحقوق فى الدستور بدون إدارة جيدة وتفعيل هذه الحقوق لا يضمن جودة للحياة فى العمران وهو ما تهتم به هذه الرسالة فى إيجاد نموذج لإدارة العمران يعمل على تحقيق جودة الحياة.

This research investigates the strategic application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies... more This research investigates the strategic application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to optimize the architectural design and energy performance of mosques in Saudi Arabia's hot arid climate, while preserving Islamic cultural and spiritual authenticity. Employing a mixed-methods approach combining Building Information Modeling (BIM) simulations, energy audits, and stakeholder engagement, this study examines 17 mosques across diverse geographic and typological contexts. Quantitative analysis reveals that AI-driven design methodologies can reduce annual energy consumption by 29%, decreasing the Energy Use Intensity (EUI) from 87.5 kWh/m²/yr to 61.8 kWh/m²/yr. LED lighting optimization alone achieves a 9% energy reduction while improving illumination uniformity (E₀ = 0.69). Smart occupancy-based control systems demonstrate 16.2-21.2% additional energy savings through adaptive HVAC management. Qualitative findings indicate strong stakeholder support for technology integration, provided core cultural elements-including Qibla orientation, Islamic ornamentation, and acoustic requirements-remain inviolate. This study contributes a validated framework for culturally-sensitive AI implementation in sacred architecture, offering actionable strategies for architects, policymakers, and religious authorities. The results, supported by precedent studies (Abdallah, 2023; Abdou et al., 2013), suggest broad applicability to other hot arid climates and culturally significant building typologies globally.

By combining theoretical analysis of classical Islamic texts (e.g., Ibn Khaldun, Al-Shatibi) with applied field studies of public parks in Khobar and Dammam, the research identifies key intersections between Islamic urbanism and contemporary sustainability standards. Core Islamic principles, including Tawhid (Unity), Khalifah (Stewardship), Mizan (Balance), and Ihsan (Excellence), guide the development of environmentally sustainable, socially inclusive, and culturally meaningful urban green spaces. The study emphasizes the multifaceted role of public parks in improving environmental quality, fostering social cohesion, promoting economic vitality, and reinforcing cultural identity. Applied examples from Al-Azhar Park (Cairo) and Martapura (Indonesia) demonstrate how Islamic civilizational values can shape park design to create multifunctional, participatory, and resilient urban spaces. The findings highlight the potential for integrating bottom-up community engagement, heritage-informed aesthetics, and ecological stewardship into contemporary urban planning frameworks, providing actionable recommendations for policy, design guidelines, and future research. This approach offers a culturally rooted, yet globally relevant model for sustainable, livable, and resilient cities.

This study provides a comprehensive analytical review of the integration of Building Information ... more This study provides a comprehensive analytical review of the integration of Building Information Modeling (BIM), the Internet of Things (IoT), and Digital Twin (DT) technologies across the building lifecycle, with a specific focus on predictive maintenance, energy optimization, and facility management (FM). Modern BIM has evolved into a data-centric platform that supports real-time monitoring by incorporating IoT sensor networks, enabling continuous acquisition of environmental, operational, and behavioral data (Volk et al., 2014; Lu et al., 2020). Recent research demonstrates that BIM-IoT integration enhances decision-making efficiency by up to 30% and reduces maintenance costs by 25-40% (Riaz et al., 2021; Dave et al., 2021), while realtime analytics allow dynamic visualization of asset conditions and system performance. The emergence of Digital Twins further elevates this capability by providing high-fidelity, bidirectionally synchronized virtual models that leverage AI-driven analytics-including model predictive control and physics-informed neural networks-to forecast energy demand, identify faults, and predict the remaining useful life (RUL) of building systems (Tao et al., 2019; Grieves & Vickers, 2017). The rapid development across various fields has led to significant changes in job roles and respo... more The rapid development across various fields has led to significant changes in job roles and responsibilities, driven by advancements in capabilities and tools. One of the transformative technologies making a substantial impact in many disciplines is computer vision techniques (CVt). While CVt offers numerous applications within the urban field, its adoption among urban planners and architects has been relatively limited. This paper reviews specific CVt applications that can be beneficial in urban studies and analyzes their familiarity among a sample of 140 architects and planners in Egypt. Participants were surveyed on their opinions regarding the efficiency of CVt in detecting user experience compared to human observation, as well as their views on user experience in urban spaces. Additionally, the paper applies CVt to analyze urban space and proposes solutions based on the findings. The research aims to encourage planners to explore new technologies that can enhance the analysis of urban spaces and user experiences, thereby reducing the gap between urban analysis and computer vision techniques. Future work should focus on developing CVt applications tailored for urban analysis and exploring how these tools can be effectively integrated into the design process under real-world conditions.

The study integrates AI algorithms with adaptive façade technologies to create intelligent building systems that dynamically respond to environmental and occupancy changes. Through simulation using a Model Predictive Control (MPC) approach applied to a residential villa in Dammam, the research demonstrates a 33.3% reduction in cooling energy demand, a 26% improvement in daylight performance, and a 29.2% decrease in carbon emissions compared to static façades. The findings validate the feasibility of AI-driven adaptive envelopes as a strategic tool for sustainable urban development in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, the study highlights the potential of these technologies to support the Kingdom's transition toward smart, resilient cities aligned with Vision 2030's sustainability and digital transformation pillars. This research investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the analysis and ge... more This research investigates the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the analysis and generative development of Islamic ornaments, thereby establishing a contemporary link between profound cultural heritage and modern technological innovation, directly supporting the mandates of Saudi Vision 2030. Utilizing a dual-model deep learning methodology, this study employs a Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) for accurate pattern classification and a Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) for synthesizing novel, culturally authentic designs. Experiments were conducted using a curated dataset of traditional Saudi ornaments, demonstrating that the CNN achieved an accuracy of 92.3% and the AI-assisted design process reduced manual time by approximately 80%. Qualitatively, expert review confirmed high ratings for both authenticity (8.5/10) and creativity (8.7/10). The findings validate a practical framework for digitizing heritage, fostering creative entrepreneurship, and enriching the urban identity of Al-Ahsa through computationally designed aesthetics, fulfilling Vision 2030's goals for cultural preservation and economic diversification.

The scope of this study, It provides the designer with the best cross section shape for the build... more The scope of this study, It provides the designer with the best cross section shape for the building that achieves the minimum drag force and the best natural ventilation for the building. A total of 8 shapes of tall buildings models are experimentally studied in present work to study the aerodynamic effect through measuring and visualization of important aerodynamic parameters and flow around the models. The study utilizes computational fluid dynamics (CFD) solver to simulate different cross section of building models subjected to three different wind speeds 10, 20 and 30 m/s. The shapes of high-rise buildings have a strong effect on the drag forces on the building and the wind environment surrounding the building, as this affects ventilation as well, especially those located in a strong wind environment. The ascending order ranking of the building models showed minimum and maximum drag force associated with circular cross section with ribs (model A-2) and rectangular cross section (B-1). The reduction in drag force percentage at velocity 30 m/s equals 91.59% due to addition of ribs to circular cross section (model A-1). The drag force increases for all investigated building models as air velocity increases from 10 to 20 to 30 m/s. The pressure values around the surface of the building were measured and studied in order to explain the change in Drag forces and predict the best cross section from a ventilation point of view.

The research employs an integrated methodology combining qualitative analysis of strategic frameworks with quantitative assessment of performance indicators to examine how AI-driven digital replicas optimize urban systems. The conceptual foundation of digital twins involves creating comprehensive virtual replicas of physical systems to predict and optimize performance, as established in foundational literature (Grieves & Vickers, 2017). The mixed-methods approach adopted in this research aligns with contemporary methodological frameworks for analyzing smart city technologies (Bibri, 2021). Findings demonstrate significant progress across multiple sectors, with AI adoption reaching 85% in renewable energy, 92% in smart mobility systems, and 78% in healthcare services. This technological advancement is supported by a network of 2.3 million IoT sensors processing 8.7 exabytes of data daily, as documented in recent project reports (NEOM Company, 2023). The research reveals digital twins' crucial role in achieving Vision 2030 objectives through measurable improvements: 65% enhancement in healthcare accessibility, 50% reduction in commute durations, and 40% cost savings in energy management, supporting national development goals (Saudi Vision 2030, 2016). While cybersecurity challenges and system integration complexities present ongoing considerations (Jobin et al., 2019), NEOM's implementation demonstrates how predictive analytics, machine learning, and real-time monitoring converge to create sustainable urban ecosystems (Batty, 2018). The study concludes that digital twins represent a fundamental shift in urban governance paradigms, offering scalable solutions for resource optimization, environmental stewardship, and quality-of-life enhancement while establishing new global benchmarks for smart city development (Ketzler et al., 2020).

لكل إنسان الحق في مستوى من المعيشة كافٍ للمحافظة على الصحة والسلامة له ولأسرته، ويتضمن ذلك الغذاء والملبس والمسكن والرعاية الصحية والخدمات الاجتماعية الأساسية، والحق في التأمين في حالة البطالة والمرض والعجز والترمل والشيخوخة وغير ذلك من فقدان وسائل العيش نتيجة لظروف خارجة عن إرادته
وإستجابة لهذا الواقع وفي ظل المتغيرات السياسية والمجتمعية التي خلقتها ثورة 25 يناير وموجاتها المختلفة وفي الوقت الذي تكتب فيه مصر دستورا جديدا لها، تضافرت جهود مجموعة من منظمات المجتمع المدني المعنية بالحق في السكن وشؤون العمران للعمل على إنتاج «وثيقة دستور العمران» فى عام 2014 والتي تطرح من خلالها رؤية لتغيير حقيقي في واقع العمران المصري تنبني على أسس العدالة الاجتماعية والاستدامة والمساواة وهى مبادئ تحقيق جودة الحياة فى المجتمع المصرى فى ما بعد ثورة 25 يناير 2011م.
وتشمل الحقوق الرئيسية التي تطرح الوثيقة وهى المبادئ الاساسية للدستور المصرى :
1. الحق فى العمران
2. الحق في المسكن الملائم ومواجهة العشوائيات وتحسين نوعية الحياة
3. تحقيق العدالة الاجتماعية
4. تكافؤ الفرص بين جميع المواطنين
5. حق المواطن فى الرعاية الصحية المتكاملة وفقآ لمعايير الجودة
6. حق المواطن فى التعليم
7. حق المواطن فى بيئة صحية سليمة
8. الحياة الامنة للمواطن وتوفير الطمأنينة
9. الحق فى المواصلات العامة والحركة داخل المدينة
وقد تم تضمين هذه الحقوق فى دستور عام 2014 فى المواد (8/9/10/18/27/41/46/59/78/79/236)
إلا أن وجود هذه الحقوق فى الدستور بدون إدارة جيدة وتفعيل هذه الحقوق لا يضمن جودة للحياة فى العمران وهو ما تهتم به هذه الرسالة فى إيجاد نموذج لإدارة العمران يعمل على تحقيق جودة الحياة.
