 | 10:12 am - Red Branch Theatre Company's [title of show] at Drama Learning Center in Columbia
I caught a matinee of the Red Branch Theatre Company's production of [title of show] in Columbia yesterday, and just wanted to plug it for those of you who enjoy musicals but can't always afford shows at the Hippodrome. It features a likeable cast with strong voices, and it's a cute little show about creating and trying to make your own mark. I'd definitely recommend it for the RENT / IN THE HEIGHTS / NEXT TO NORMAL set.
It just opened this past weekend, so you've got a couple more weeks to see it. Tickets are only $18-20 and even cheaper if you go through Goldstar ($13.50). Highly recommended!

My boss has asked me to have a professional picture taken for our website and I've been meaning to have one taken for used on LinkedIn - anyone know anyone who can do something like this for a reasonable price? I've gotten a quote of $300.00 from one person but that's waaaaaaaaaay more than I want to spend. Anyone have a friend of a friend who's handy with a camera and could take a professional-looking shot or two of me in a park or something?

I've just received an email with a gofobo rsvp code for a free screening Salmon Fishing in the Yemen at Harbor East next week. I saw this film on Valentine's Day courtesy of an earlier round of screenings, and thought it was cute. It's a romantic dramedy about an Arab billionaire's quest to bring sport fishing to his desert homeland and the two young English folk who are tasked with helping him do it. I highly recommend it for fans of Ewan McGregor, although Emily Blunt and Amr Waked were quite good in it as well. I haven't read the book, so I can't tell you anything about how it compares.
