I eat more chocolate when I visit Mom than anywhere else, mostly in the form of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. See, when I crash at her place I tend to get these amazing headaches, and one week (for unrelated reasons) I brought a bag with me and was stunned when there was no headache at all the following morning.
So, there you go. Tastier than any homeopathic remedy. |

It's not that she isn't making a good point, cuz she very much is, but it's striking a little too close to home. That most of the major chocolate companies in the world get their product from child labor, essentially slavery, in other countries but mostly Africa. That to buy any of the chocolate from said companies is to basically say this is okay.
Well, it's isn't...
...but I largely only eat one chocolate candy on a regular basis and damn the whole fucking world, it's on the bad list!
Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are part of the Hershey Company and they're on the list!

While that last link does list some not so morally detrimental alternatives, it's badly titled. I refer to the "candy that does not suck" because it does. I'm a HUGE lover of chocolate Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and there's a reason why I largely only eat that one kind. It's delicious. Now, I haven't had all of the candy from that acceptable list but I've had about ½ of it and I can safely say it does suck.
Really not good.
To me, at any rate.

I sometimes think the only reason I'm opposed to suicide is because of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. If they're ever banned or cancelled, then I may be in trouble.
Also, if ever a doctor tells me I can no longer have chocolate... I may have to change my stance on murder too. |
