Jenna "Jetta" Handover is one of the characters in Clifford the Big Red Dog (2000 TV series) and Clifford the Big Red Dog (2027) TV series
She was voiced by Kath Soucie in the 2000 PBS series and the 2004 film.
Appearance[]
Jetta is a female American. In the 2000 Clifford series, Jetta wears a yellow shirt with a green hoodie tied around her neck, blue pants, and pointed yellow shoes, but only in other episodes, except "To Catch a Bird", like a bandana. She has long black hair in a ponytail wrapped around in a light yellow band. Sometimes, she wears a yellow/green swimsuit.
She wears a red-and-white helmet for bike riding, roller skating and skateboarding.
Personality[]
Jetta is Mac's owner, and Emily Elizabeth's close friend who is often seen as a spoiled brat and is usually oblivious to other people's feelings. She is often shown leading parades and competing in talent shows as a majorette. Her mother owns one of the island stores and seems somewhat oblivious to Jetta's uncaring and bratty behavior. She often appears to dislike Clifford, criticizing him for taking massive trouble caused by his big size, but occasionally she will show that she really likes him too. As the series progressed, Jetta seems to have become more friendly with Clifford. In early episodes, Jetta would sometimes[1] boast and brag to Emily Elizabeth about something in an attempt to make her jealous, most notably in "My Best Friend" and "Home is Where the Fun is", which is considered hard to take[1].
Jetta loves to be the center of the attention and hates being ignored, as shown in Baby Makes Four. As seen in several episodes, Jetta would do anything that requires herself getting lots of attention. For example in "Nobody's Perfect", Jetta was originally opposed to having to do the "Cream Pie Long Jump" for Silly Sports Day however, after overhearing when Emily Elizabeth previously did the event herself and had her photo taken for the newspaper, Jetta decided to do it believing the same would happen to her.
Despite all of that, she's a loyal friend.[1]

Voices[]
Kath Soucie, (2000-2003 TV series and 2004 film)
Trivia[]
- Her voice actress Kath Soucie also voices her mom in various episodes of the 2000 Clifford series and Daffodil in Clifford's Puppy Days.
- She has a mom who works in a store and a baby brother named Cosmo. She also has a dad who is briefly mentioned in the episodes Jetta's Tall Tale, and It's My Party, but is almost never seen. It's most likely he travels a lot for work.
- It is possible Jetta was named after the Volkswagen Jetta.
- Aside from Emily Elizabeth, she is the only kid who has a dog.
- Florence, a character who attends Emily's school in the 2021 live-action film, bears a lot of resemblance to Jetta, as both are mean and usually rivals to Emily Elizabeth. However, while Jetta is a simple jerk who is kind-hearted on the inside, Florence is an outright bully who actually hates Emily Elizabeth and even tries humiliating her. Although, Jetta has become more nicer with Emily Elizabeth as the series progressed, occasionally having conflicts with her.
- Like Mr. Bleakman, Jetta showed a dislike towards Clifford due to his large size and occasionally having misfortunes with him. In later episodes (starting in A Friend In Need), Jetta has gained more tolerance and likely to like him after all.
- "To Catch a Bird" is the only episode where Jetta wears her sweater normally instead of having it tied around her neck like a bandana and she normally does.
- In Musical Memory Games, the song she sings is Move Your Feet, which is her favorite song, but only after Samuel and Charley perform Rolling Waves.
- Near the end of the theme song, she and Charley jump.
- Although it is never revealed the reason for why she is probably jealous of Clifford, it's most likely because before he moved to Birdwell Island, Mac was the most popular dog there until Clifford came to Birdwell Island and unintentionally stole the popularity from Mac and became the new popular dog in town.
- Jetta is best at everything! (at least she says so)[1]
