I know we don't all use cloth just for environmental reasons, but I was amazed when I entered my info for this ticker... My LO is nearly 4 months old and we didn't start using them until he was 3 weeks old.
Our daughter is 14 months old and for the first time we need to buy some liners (we've been very lucky to get our cloth nappy stash off of the local council and freecycle). I was hoping for some advice as to what liners work best for you. I didn't realise there was such a difference in price for different brands.
We were going to just buy the cheapest but a couple of reviews suggested the material of the cheaper liners are quite rough, but then are the more expensive ones really any better?
The only criteria we have is we would like them to be flushable and washable liners. Also we're from the UK, not sure if all brands from the US are available over here.
FS: x2 Rosieboo's pocket nappies, side snap fastening, size large (the owl one and the blue camo one) However, they have an extra set of snaps on each size (my baby is a skinny dude) to bridge the gap between medium and large so they'll last longer / can be worn sooner.
They're a few months old and used in a large rotation so in EUC. They don't come with inserts.

I posted a few weeks back to get some information about cloth nappies for my imminent arrival! Alistair Joseph was born on 29th January weighing 7lbs 14oz. We've been using cloth nappies exclusively for the past 2 weeks and we love them! I went for 10 bamboo Pop-ins and 10 microfibre ones.
A familiar sight in my living room... Cloth nappies all hung up to dry!
Has anyone sold second-hand cloth on ebay? I tried to list some items but was denied as ebay won't allow me to sell used nappies (it lumps them with used underwear as a banned item), though the listings are full of items described as condition: used. Am I doing something wrong? Maybe this is a brand new policy and I just missed out on being able to sell my nappies? Bah to you, ebay, bah!
I've contemplated just lying and not saying used, but still describing them as such in the description, but I'm scared by the 'your sellng privilages may be revoked' line. :/
Hello ladies... I've just joined you today after purchasing my first cloth nappies. Oh and I've never changed a nappy before in my whole life... That's about to change though, I'm expecting my first baby (aka Lentil) on 22nd January, so not long to go now.
I've been considering cloth for a long time, my husband thinks its a great way to save money, and when I looked at the all in ones, they don't look anymore difficult to use than disposables. Today is the first day of my maternity leave and I celebrated by making my first order, one Pop-in bamboo and one Pop-in Dream Dri. I've also sent off for my local council scheme and the trial pack they send out contains 1 motherease onesize nappy with snap in booster kit, 1 bamboo little lamb, 1 prefold, one little lamb wrap and one motherease wrap, all this comes with a pack of liners and information about how to wash and use nappies and a bucket to store your dirty nappies in.
I've got a few packs of disposables in, because I had loads of vouchers in my Bounty packs etc. These should last me the first week or so, and by then I'm hoping to have made a decision about which cloth ones I'm going to use.
Any advice for a first timer? Do I need to wash the nappies before first use? How many times? Can I use my normal washing powder? (Fairy non-bio loose powder and comfort pure fabric softener)
I'm selling my stash of Tots Bots nappies, if anyones interested! got bamboozles and the cotton ones for sale, the majority are aplix fastening. anybody interested?
