Hi Folks:

Just a quick note to say thanks for your work this semester -- both on the website and at the CWC and our events. I look forward to adding the 10th anniversary webpages to our website over the summer so they are up and ready for the fall.

Also, I hope many of you will want to continue to stay informed about the CWC and our activities, and maybe continue to volunteer! We value your interest, ideas, and energy!

Also, we have a table at all the CTOPS Information Fair Days during orientation throughout the summer, so if any of you are around and would like to volunteer to help us out at any of those times, let us know!

My very best regards, and thanks again!

here's my paragraph!

Over the course of this class, we (students and Stephanie included) learned a lot about  websites and each other. I think I speak on behalf of the whole class that this project  was very meaningful because it will be of use for and in honor of the Women's Center. As  a class we talked a lot about what the CWC was, and why it was important to have on  campus. Overall, for me personally, this was a really great experience and expanded my  knowledge not only on web design, but also on the value of having such a wonderful  resource on campus. Thank you Carolina Women's Center!

Hey everyone

I spent a couple hours today fixing the glitches in the site and putting "This goes up" folder as the main page. Basically, random code around the pages have been deleted or fixed. All the pages link to each other as well as the main page via the banner. Each of the pages are now titled at the top of the browser as what they are not just TITLE. So I hope that makes the site a little easier to navigate.
P.S. I've only looked at it in firefox not sure if it's alright in internet explorer

Post in the reflection blog reflections on the issues below:
a. Who is/should be our target audience for this site? How does the site reflect (not reflect) this? How can you tell?
b. What kind of visual rhetoric moves does our site make/fail to make/make mistakenly?
c. What have you learned about WRITING from this experience?

heyyyyy everyone. Morgan and i are here in the MRC and unfortunately everything isnt working as well as we'd wanted to...but, the site is "up" ... to look at the pages go to...

www.unc.edu/courses/2007spring/engl/102/073/This goes UP!/index.html

from this page you can see all the other pages EXCEPT dont click on "history timeline" b/c it wont come up and if it does it's not the right page + the links don't work.

to see "history timeline" you must go to

www.unc.edu/courses/2007spring/engl/102/073/historytimeline.html

have a great break everyone!!

So, update on the videos. I talked to my contact and she thinks that while the videos should have been done by now they are not, but they are close. There is apparently more than one video. Not sure how many but the one that does a general cover on the CWC is almost finished. This is the one I think we were planning on using. There is another one on donners and some others that I don't know the topic of. I guess when the videos are finished Stephanie can get them from the other teacher.

Please complete this blogging assignment by 11:59pm Tuesday, April 3.

1. Talk about your expectations for this site when you began this project and now, as you finish up. How does the final project meet or fail to meet your expectations? How can you reconcile the differences?

2. Write briefly about what you'd like to this site do that it does not, i.e. be more visually appealing, be more interactive, etc.

3. Talk about what you've learned about writing from this process.

4. Pick two things that you'd like to change on the site and explain why.

5. Pick one thing you'd like to fix on the site and find out how. Write brief directions.

We need to assure that their is a clear timeline that holds everyone accountable for a particulr task. It should state when a particular task needs to be completed by.
