during my transfer over to a new computer, the void ate all my patterns and the websites I got them from. I already have undead threads and the ones from james, but there are few I got from either this comm or the other dollfie one I belong to that are missing.
sooo...
if any one has links to sites with patterns for any kind of dollfie, list em here? I can always make up a master list for everyone once it's done. lord knows there are never enough patterns.
thanks guys!
I've got on of the Obitsu 1/6 dolls head, and a pair of Masterpiece 5/6mm eyes and I cannot for the live of me get the eyes into the head. Can someone please tell me how I am meant to get these eyes in before I starts creaming in frustration and throw the thing across the room?
Thank you.

Maerz's page these are for SD but be careful because some of them scanned in strange. I know the wide legged pants drowned my girl.
She is constantly updating this so it's a good place to start for an MSD

I have been sewing for my twins, who are yet to arrive and patterns are expensive
so I decided to share the ones I found online, now some of them are proper sized gothic loli patterns that you can shrink down
and the primer to work them out.

(stupid index pages) a really good set of MSD patterns but the instructions are in Japanese
http://affordabledesigns.ca/patterns.html
Denis Bastien's page - you have to buy them but they are really good patterns, easy to follow and you can get them in pdf (I have several and if you ask nicely I'll email you them, I have mostly girl patterns but I am prepared to share.)

the first place anyone should check out as it has lots of links to other really good pages

these are simple patterns and easy to use, they work better adapted but it's a great place to start and they print out the size you need on A4 so there's no resizing needed.

some good easy (but few) MSD patterns
primer
from a human pattern reduce by 33% for SD
from barbie pattern increase size by 192%
from a barbie pattern to 27cm reduce by 90%
from 15.5 (ie gene or tyler) increase by 141%
from an SD to MSD pattern reduce by 75% (reverse the ratio if doing it the other way, ie divide 60 by 45 not the other way around) (133%)

if you want to have anything to do with dollfies you need to see the denofangels forum as everything you ever wanted to know is there, and if it's not, ask.
this is my first bjd custom.. since this is my first real bjd. I just got into pullips not too long ago and its only natural to go up to larger dolls from there so I got this k-doll kill-u Special. the customization is rather dramatic, as the skin was darkened dramatically. this was done with an airbrush in case anyone wants to know.
this was done today, tommorow he gets a fresh coat of matte sealant and then a faceup before the end of the week. wish me luck!
but until then constructive criticism is always king!
greets!
i wanted to make a fuzzy pair of slouch socks for Kazuki that were out of just the right kind of elastic stretchy but slouchy stuff that socks are made of.. so i cut 'em right up. then made the slightly startling discovery that the clean toe of an unworn pair of socks makes a darn servicable stocking cap! i'd been wanting to make one or more of these since trying to stitch a bit from a [sweater] sleeve into a hat [resulted in] a.. squashed square top kind of thing that looked like an envelope on his head. [not good]
anywhooo- i recommend pirating socks, it beats trying to start shapes in eleastics and knits by hand.
the toe makes a cap, the foot body & up the ankle makes a sock/legwarmer, if you're using a particularly long sock to begin with like a knee-sock you've got enough material to make a scarf. picking up the knit knee socks at walmart means four pair doll socks, two hats and a scarf and armwarmers can come from a $2.99 pair of girl socks. =)
just don't tell them what you're sticking on their heads...
Hello! I don't have a doll yet, but he's comming sometime at the end of the week (a SoulDoll Eckstine)! I plan on making/doing everything I can for him. Doing the faceup, sewing clothing, making wigs ect.. And I just had a few questions:
1. How would I attach wefts of hair to wig caps? I plan on making my wefts out of the no-sew/caulk method. Would I just sew them on? (I'm planning on using the fabric you find in the lining of swim suits.)
2. Is there a site that has patterns for an Eckstine-sized boy? I don't know if he's MSD, SD, SD13...? (haha, I'm a total newbie to abjds, if you can't tell. ^^;)
3. Are there differently sized eyelashes, or should any doll eyelash work?
Thank you soooo much for any help. :)
well, let me be the first to ask a question...
i have a pattern, that i wou.d love to put on a doll.. so.. does anyone know of a pattern for a stand up collar for dolls? (like a shirt collar..) and a corset pattern?
Hello,
Just joined and I have a question.
I'm wanting to sculpt a SD sized doll, can anyone give me recommendations as to supplies, tools, and what not? I was thinking about getting LaDoll Clay, but before I do, I want to know what kind of tools I'll need and if anyone has any advice/patterns to making a BJD.
Thank you so much!
