Description:
To Politely Encourage Authors Not To Warn For Identity In Their Headers
This community was created in the hope of starting a grassroots movement to politely ask authors to refrain from listing "slash" and other identity-centric words as "warnings" in their headers.

This community is not for shaming anyone, nor are we trying to do away with 'content advisories' altogether.

All information shared and contained within this community will be kept 100% confidential.

Members will be asked to check their friends' lists and find at least one fiction header per week with the following:

Warning: slash, femmeslash, transgender, character of color

and send them a POLITE PM asking them to either put slash somewhere else in the header, i.e., the pairing, summary or author's notes or to change the word "warning" to something neutral like "contains".

There will be a members-only list of authors to whom PM's have been sent and we will ask that every member check the list before sending a PM to an author, as we have no desire to stalk or unduly harass anyone. Members will also be asked to leave a comment every time they send a PM so that the list may be updated.

This is about changing the system on an individual level.
