I was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and recently transplanted to southern Virginia (Martinsville). I have taught high school English for the past 5 years. I graduated in May 2006 with my MFA in creative writing from Queens University, in Charlotte, NC. Yaye! I am a poet. I have recently begun the publishing process, and have been published by a few literary journals. My short-term goals include using the words "estuary" and "scrapple" successfully in a poem. Not necessarily together. I hope to publish several successful (as far as poetry is concerned) books, teach at the university, win a Pulitzer, become poet laureate, then pope, and bring about world peace. I will retire to the Carolina shore.
