Psittacoidea

Psittacoidea is one of the three superfamilies of the order Psittaciformes. It contains about 330 species of psittacids or typical parrots. The other two superfamilies of the order are Cacatuoidea and Strigopoidea. True parrots are more widespread than cockatoos because they have members in America, Africa, Asia and Oceania. Psittacoidea es una de las tres superfamilias del orden Psittaciformes. Contiene unas 330 especies de psitacoideos o loros típicos. Las otras dos superfamilias del orden son Cacatuoidea y Strigopoidea. Los loros verdaderos están más extendidos que las cacatúas ya que tienen miembros en América, África, Asia y Oceanía.
