SPANISH - ENGLISH DICTIONARY

hada
hada
  fairy ; faery [faerie].
The good and bad fairies are categories of experience, and the triumph of the good fairy is a reassuring generalization about overcoming danger.
Faeries could be either good or evil creatures, and at various points in history have been confused with witches and demons.
ala de hada
fairy wing
She wore fairy wings & jumped to her heart's delight on the trampoline.
cuento de hadas
fairy story
fairy tale [fairytale]
If the analogy with the fairy story is taken a little further it can be noted that no author really believes in dragons, wicked queens, fair maidens locked in high towers and the like.
The best material to use in this approach is that great corpus of traditional folk and fairy tale myth, legend and stories from biblical and historical sources.
hada madrina
fairy godmother
It seems that in the stories I've read that fairy godmothers seem to help mostly females, who are cruelly abused by their families or abandoned somehow.
