Wind

Viento

Wind is the flow of gases on a large scale. On Earth, wind is the mass movement of air in the atmosphere in horizontal motion. Günter D. Roth defines it as 'the compensation of atmospheric pressure differences between two points.' In outer space, the solar wind is the movement of charged gases or particles of the Sun through space, while the planetary wind is the degassing of light chemical elements of a planet's atmosphere into space. There, winds are usually classified according to their spatial dimension, speed, the types of force that cause them, the regions where they occur and their effects. The strongest winds observed on a planet in the solar system occur on Neptune and Saturn. In meteorology they are usually called the winds according to their strength and the direction from which they blow. Sudden increases in wind speed for a short time are called bursts. Strong winds of intermediate duration are called squalls.
