Meaning of "japa" in the Portuguese dictionary

Japa or japam is the mental or verbal repetition of a mantra in order to reach alternate states of consciousness. The repetition of the mantra, japa, can be done in three different ways: ▪ Out loud. ▪ In the form of a murmur without movement of the lips. ▪ Mentally. All of them have an intimate relationship with the breath, pranayama and mátra. In Kularnava tantra, chapter eleven, sutra 19 says: "During japa one should avoid all laziness, yawning, sleep, sneezing, salivation, fear, movement and or emotion. The mantra does nothing if there is too much food, incoherent conversation , talk, authoritarianism, attachment to things, or instabilities, etc. During japa one should avoid inertia, affliction, unnecessary activity, wild imagination and slavering.Peace in peace, be clean and frugal with food, sleep on the floor, have control of your duality, have a stable mind, have self-control and be quiet. In Hinduism, Japamala is used during the practice of japa. In Hinduism and Vaishnavas generally they use Japamalas of Tulsi seeds. And the Shaivites use Rudrakhsa seed. Todas elas tem uma relação intima com a respiração, o pranayama e o mátra. Em Kularnava tantra, capítulo onze, sutra 19 diz: "Durante o japa deve-se evitar toda a preguiça, bocejo, sono, espirro, salivação, medo, movimento e ou emoção. O mantra nada realiza se houver comida em excesso, conversação incoerente, falatório, autoritarismo, apego as coisas, ou instabilidades e etc. Durante o japa deve-se evitar a inércia, a aflição, a atividade desnecessária, a imaginação desvairada e o esbravamento. Fique em paz, seja limpo e frugal com a comida, durma no chão, tenha controle da sua dualidade, tenha a mente estável, tenha autocontrole e seja calado. Então faça o japa." No Hinduísmo, o Japamala é usado durante a pratica do japa. No Hinduísmo e Vaishnavas geralmente usam Japamalas de sementes de Tulsi. E os Shaivitas usam semente de Rudrakhsa.
