Solitude

Solitude

Solitude is the state of privacy of a person, not meaning, properly, a state of solitude. It can represent isolation and seclusion, voluntary or imposed, but not directly associated with suffering. Solitude is voluntary isolation or seclusion, when the individual seeks to be at peace with himself. Different from the loneliness that in essence is the emotional state of the individual who ardently wants a company and does not have it. An individual may be surrounded by friends, in the middle of a very lively ballroom, and yet be eroded by loneliness. In some cases, the individual chooses this for the experiences that were unpleasant to him some time ago. Solitude is then a way to prevent the same incident from occurring again.
