Sadness

Tristeza

Sadness or disgust is a human feeling that expresses discouragement or frustration toward someone or something. It is the opposite of joy. Sadness can cause physical reactions like nervous depression, crying, insomnia, poor appetite, and even emotional reactions such as regret. The sadness can be originated from the loss of something or someone who was very valuable or from excessive boredom; this emotion can be potentialized if the one who suffers from sadness comes to believe that he could have done something to recover or avoid loss, even if this something to do is in practice impossible to realize, and independent of the will of the sad. Sadness is often described as something bitter, or as a pain, or as a feeling of inadequacy, or as something dark. Sadness can be the consequence of emotions such as selfishness, insecurity, low self-esteem, envy, immaturity, fear and disillusionment. They are emotions that, when not treated soon, can end up generating sadness, or in extreme cases the nervous depression; depending on the style of each person, the person can develop a negative instinct.
