Line break

Full names

Showing Biden on George Clinton's page

Marking of VPs who were later the President
[edit]Does anyone object if I add footnotes showing the following:
- VPs who later became President
- VPs who became President upon the death of their President

- Currently there is a consensus of 2:1 that putting VPs who became POTUS on the template is indeed a useful navigational purpose. Please come to the talk page first before reverting edits made with talk page consensus. But perhaps italicizing or bolding would be a better way to do it than the e and a notes. --Plumber (talk) 22:44, 23 March 2026 (UTC)

- It’s likely most people looking at the template are interested to know at a quick glance which VPs became POTUS. That’s a clear useful navigational purpose for everyone who has not memorized which VPs became POTUS. Plumber (talk) 03:24, 28 August 2026 (UTC)
