ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Giordano Bruno and the Hermetic Tradition

Hello, I’m writing regarding a passage you added to the article: “the book that Yates publishes on Giordano Bruno bridges the gap between Kuhn's high-level and contagiously popular insights about scientific paradigm shifts with the depth of research done by scholars like Scholem (whom Yates had become personally acquainted with through their mutual attendance at the annual gatherings of the Eranos Conference, a collective of scholars organized loosely under the star-power represented by Carl Jung at its inception and published under his Bollingen Imprint[15]).” I was not aware that Frances Yates attended the Eranos conferences, and I have not been able to find a source confirming this. Could you please provide the reference supporting Yates’s alleged participation in Eranos, and—if available—the years of her attendance? I also checked reference [15], which links to the Jung Haus Museum website, but I could not find anything there that substantiates the statement. I think its fine to delete this article. I created it in 2013 and can scarcely even recall composing it. I did not intend to lift or crib text from the articles which are cited--if I did so it was unconscious on my part. Indeed, in 2013, I was extremely green as a contributor on Wikipedia.
