The Ender's Game Relationships Discussion
|
Greetings all of ender_ships. I confess to not knowing how many people here may perhaps be interested in online journal roleplaying, but if so, allow me to humbly present the following:
The premise of the game is rather straightforward:
It's the twenty-second century, immediately following the Third Invasion and the League Wars. Earth is in political turmoil with each country pre-empting the first strike, usually with dangerous consequences. The most precious commodity in existence are the select brilliant minds from the now-defunct Battle School formerly under command of the I.F. More specifically, the elite once under the command of Andrew "Ender" Wiggin, the military mastermind who brought victory to the human race at the close of the final campaign of the Third Invasion against the Formics.
Though recently children, the plague of puberty is the last concern on their sharpened, well-oiled minds. Each having returned to his or her native country, the desire is to lead a peaceful, uncomplicated life. No such thing would be afforded them, however, as one by one they begin to disappear from the map in a series of carefully constructed kidnappings, beginning with Petra Arkanian. Of course, it would take a dramatic explosion in Ithaca to stir all rebel forces into action -- including those political and intellectual, both secular and clergy.
Their beloved Ender, however, has gone off to begin his own journey at lightspeed among the stars. There isn't any telling where it will lead, or end. The identities of Locke and Demosthenes, the voices of the common intellect and their intersteller rabble-rousing, remain undisclosed. The world is on the brink of a different kind of colonisation war, and Peter Wiggin is slowly, and swiftly beginning his ascent to power.
The game will be launched by August 2005, and running on the LJ sister site, GreatestJournal. An applications community already exists here: http://www.greatestjournal.com/userinfo.bml?user=thefantasygame for ease of convenience. (Information and instructions are also located there.)
We are also currently most in need of the following characters:
Peter Wiggin Achilles
Any and all members of Ender's jeesh, including:
Fly Molo Crazy Tom Vlad Shen
I appreciate your time and hope to see you on GJ and Shadow of the Game!

hello. i just finshed reading ender's game, and i plan on reading speaker of the dead next, for i am more interested in the books that follow Ender. I was wondering which book of the series you all liked the best, because ender's game was quite fabulous and i want to know if the rest will let me down. also, what exactly is the whole speaker of the dead deal at the end of ender's game? did the biggers get to know his mind through his dreams and then set up the area for him because they knew he would destroy them, but left a remnant of their world because they knew he would understand and be the birth of their new world? so then how did they know he would defeat them? |

Hey everyone XD
My name's Cecilia and I just finished reading Ender's Game and Ender's Shadow. Through the middle of Ender's Shadow, I kinda got mad at the book and I threw it aside because it made me so depressed lol. I live in California, and um. Yeah.
The main thing that's bugging me is that my friends say Bean and Ender never see each other again. ... That's not true right? Their relationship is so special, it'd be a pity for them never to meet again. |

Ok, so I was changing some of my userinfo, and I looked at my interests list and I noticed that Ender's Game was blue and underlined... meaning that at least one person shared that as an interest... so I clicked on it, and boy was I suprised. Communities for the Ender's Saga! Awesome!
introduction: My name is Jeff, 20, art student, yadda yadda yadda. I read Ender's Game for the first time in summer school before the 9th grade. I fell in love with it immediately. Since then I've read it about 7 times, as well as all the other books in the saga, including the ones about Bean. Orson Scott Card is my favorite writer, and I'm trying to read everything he has ever written, right now I'm finishing "Unaccompanied Sonata and other stories", if you have read that I suggest you pick it up.
I hope to have fun here discussing the relationships of my all-time favorite book. |
