I guess I will make an intro post...
My name is Jessica, I am 18 and from MO. I have five horses, two of them are Arabs.
My Arab is Shorty aka HB Final Design (Houston x High Design). Polish/Crabbet. He's an *Aladdinn grandson, and Ferzon bred on his mom's side. He's 10 years old, around 15.2 hands and chestnut. Has a very puppy-like personality. That's him being nosey in my icon :) We compete mostly in Dressage (training and first), Sport Horse Under Saddle, and Sport Horse In-Hand, but have also done Hunter Pleasure and Show Hack. He's got unbelievable movement and talent, it is believed that he could become an upper level dressage horse. We will see. Hmm... we went to Youth Nationals last year but he went lame while we were there. I'm not sure if we are going to Sport Horse Nationals this year. Is anyone else going?
My sister has an Eqyptian bred 23 year old *Ansanta Ibn Sudan grandson GL Terrific, Tango for short. He's a spitting image of his sire line haha. He's a cool little guy, she used to event him and compete him in hunter/jumpers on the open circuit. His papers got lost before we got him, so she's never been able to show him in Arab shows.
Other horses:
Ketavar is my TB who I retired from eventing 2 years ago (and gave up jumping at the time haha). He's 20, chestnut, 16 hands but built massively. His sire was Avatar, the 1975 Belmont winner. He was on the track through his 6 year old year and did decently. The horse loves to run, cross country was such a blast with him. He's the spunkiest horse in our barn!
Scottie is a 4yo paint that I bought when he was 3 months old... it seemed like a good idea when I was 14 haha. I had trained him from birth and his owner offered him to me. I ended up sending him away to be broken because I didn't have time. He's really cute, but can get really destructive and stubborn. He's got cute movement, the I'm hoping he can make a cute event pony. The trainer who broke him thinks roping, reining, or cutting :X we'll see!
Seirra is a 28 year old retired feild hunter who likes trail rides and letting neighborhood kids take lessons on him.
that's my barn! anyone want to share about theirs hehe?
