Space in the header

Problem you are having: In the header, there's a sort of color bar underneath the image. The color bar's supposed to take up the entire width of the entries plus the side bar, but you can see a sort of gray space after the last pink rectangle. That space was there even before I added the image to the header space. I was wondering if there were a way to get rid of it.

Rotaing Banner/Headers

Problem you are having: I've been trying to install rotating banners/headers on my journal. I've been trying to use this tutorial. Problem is, I keep on getting stuck at step 3. In other words, after uploading my images and the php file to my host, I get stuck. Any and all help is appreciated. If you need more info, I will provide it. Also, if there's an easier way besides getting a paid account, that would be great.

Advanced header positioning

Problem you are having: I want to keep the current background, the fading one. But I want to add another picture as a background. Like in my last layout.
I want to add a pic at the bottom right, but no matter what I code, it always stays at the top.

page background and entry background issues

Basic, Paid or Plus: Plus at 3rd_wonder, but Paid at my own journal where I'll use the layout after the kinks are worked out.
Problem you are having: I want the background behind the header to extend throughout the whole page and for the text area in the entries to be on a solid light colored background, rather than transparent as it currently appears.

Header with Variable Flow

Posted at 10:13 pm
I feel dumb asking this but... How can I get my header to layer over the background I have set for my current journal. My code makes it replace the background, and I'm not sure how to make it just an image on top of the background. I'd also like it to be right on top of the entry box and have the picture under where the nav bar is. Sadly I use that thing all the time and I'd hate to kill it. And one last thing, is there a way to make the entry box larger than the header or should I just make a new header image that is the length that I want?

I'm currently using S2 Variable Flow.
If this can't be fixed with keeping the nav bar and my S2 layout I guess I'll deal but I'd figure I'd ask here before completely giving up.

Here is the coding I am using now:

I've poked around but nothing really seems to answer these questions.. I just see a lot of S1 stuff.
Here is the image I want to use as my header:

Here is the image I want to use as my background:

Edit:  I'm just going to resize the image so it fixes the size of my entry  box as well as the area above the nav box and see if that helps those two problems.  Ok it fixed the width of the entry box, but not the room for the nav box.

[s2 ALL] Adding a header image with CSS

Posted at 10:42 am
Many S2 styles will let you add a header image by using the customization wizard, but if you are already using CSS overrides, you may want to add a header image with CSS.

The following tutorial will show you how to add a header image to your S2 layout using CSS. Note: there is usually more than one way to add a header image with CSS. For the purpose of this tutorial, I have chosen the way I think is the easiest to explain.
