A friend of mine is active in animal rescue and her current foster, Stormy, is a sad case of abuse from not one but TWO separate owners. The first tried to train her for dog fighting and the second, after finding that she had urinated in his home, tied her to his car and dragged her down the street to teach her a lesson.
Stormy ended up with the Mid Atlantic Bully Buddies rescue who is fairly new and doesn't have the $8,000+ to cover Stormy's bills. Lisa continues to care for her and give her the love and medical attention she needs, but in an effort to help cover the bills, a blog has been set up to tell Stormy's Story and ask for help.
Please be warned that Stormy's blog does contain images of some of her injuries, and therefore may be difficult viewing for some of the more kindhearted among us. If you would like to donate but don't wish to see the images on the blog, donations can be sent to nmorabito@gmail.com via PayPal.
Feel free to cross-post this message and spread the word as far and as wide as you see fit.
Thank you, Lisa, for taking care of this sweet girl and countless other animals in need. You're an inspiration.

It's been ~six weeks since my last LJ post. I swear I haven't fallen off the face of the planet, I've just been sucked into the vortex that is Facebook. I come bearing a recent video of Mia, and hope to eventually get back into the habit of blogging. Someday.
This weekend was awesome.
I was off on Friday and started it off by helping Ed get Mia up and out the door after he'd had a very late night on Thursday. Once they were on the road, I did some more cleaning before going off to get my hair cut. And I do mean Cut.

Hair=All Gone.
Yes, I like it. Now. I wasn't sure at first, but part of that was because it was styled in a way that I felt was completely unflattering to my face shape. It looks SO much healthier now, and feels a little sassy. I'll be playing with various products and styles, but I'm good with it. It'll grow again, and it'll be healthier than it has been.
After my hair appointment I went to the grocery store and the library, then home to unload everything, do a little more cleaning, and then hit the road for Ellicott City with a stop in White Marsh on the way. I got some more photos from Mia's recent birthday session and then drove down to Turf Valley for the SPA WEEKEND!

It's been forever since I last blogged, and it's clear that I've lost my mojo somewhere. If you see it, would you mind passing it back?

Remember when I posted about Rupert Everett's scary post-surgery face and his appearance on the Rachael Ray show?
Go Fug Yourself is far funnier than I, and has a wealth of before-and-after shots. It's so sad.

I've made them twice and both times had issues with the cupcakes overflowing because I put too much cake batter in before I drop in the chunk of cookie dough, so I…
