Gators Green :: est. June 2004

AS OF 11/8/06, MEMBERSHIP IS CLOSED.

Created by two east coast girls who were sick and tired of the abject lack of communities devoted to promoting traditionally preppy values, Gators Green is the result of a collective effort to furnish today's preppies with a livejournal "haven" (of sorts). Since its creation in the summer of 2004, Gators Green has developed into a closely-knit community of individuals who share a love of classic elegance. We "Gators" love vodka tonics and well-worn in Ralph Lauren polos, can weather even the stickiest of social situations with charm and charsima, and know that one of the most antisocial things you can do at a dinner party is to discuss politics.

We'd love for you to join us if this sounds like your cup of tea, but we ask that you first join gtrs_in_waiting (a waiting room for the community where members can vote on new applicants) and post an application there.

♥ Talk about whatever you want to - we love giving advice and hearing crazy stories! - but try not to flood the community with posts that aren't related to preppiness.

♥ Remember your manners when you post. If you have a problem with another member, email one of the mods or settle it outside of the community.

♥ Make sure that all of your posts to the community are friends only once you are accepted. Do this by changing the security level of the post to "friends" (it is automatically set at "public").

♥ Try to post as frequently as your schedule permits - we understand how hectic academics/athletics/whatever can be, but we do want an active community.
