Researchers at Mount Allison University are looking for gay and lesbian men and women who are sexually active to participate in a study on cognitive distractions during sexual activity. The study consists of a series of questionnaires completed online that should not take more than 30 minutes to complete. There will be the chance to enter into a draw for a prize valued at 50$ at the end of the study. Help wanted - Graphic Design Intern
Between the Lines is an award-winning weekly newspaper in Michigan's for lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders and friends. We have been Michigan's LGBT news source since 1993. We are members of the Michigan Press Association and the National Gay Newspaper Guild. Each week 20,000 copies of BTL are distributed to hundreds of sites across Michigan.
We are looking for college students that are looking for credit and experience. Must be enrolled in a graphics related degree or certification program. Intern will get one-on-one training from our Art Director and will leave with solid portfolio pieces and a letter of recommendation. Applicants should have strong knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Pride Source Media Group is the publisher of Between the Lines, an award-winning weekly newspaper since 1993. We are members of the Michigan Press Association and the National Gay Newspaper Guild. PSMG also publishes the Pride Source LGBT Yellow Pages with over 1000 LBGT owned or friendly businesses and non-profits.
Are you in college or just graduated and looking for work experience? Must have solid knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Photoshop and Illustrator. Must be open to work in an LGBT business (but you do not have to be gay). This is an unpaid internship.

I'm Jack, i grew up in Michigan, but moved away when I was 18.
Been living in Portland, Oregon for awhile, but i just moved back about a week ago. My family is here and i still have a couple friends here and there, but mostly I am looking to establish myself in the community, make new friends etc.
A little about me, I'm FTM, queer/bi/pansexual//whatever--lately i'm more into dating guys but i've dated and been in relationships with everyone. Just getting out of a serious long-term relationship/marriage and trying to rebuild my life, sort of starting over from scratch. I'm applying to grad school and want to teach High School English.
I am progressive in my politics, i love to read, I have a cat and a dog who are both super sweet. Staying in metro Detroit area right now, but will be moving to SW Detroit in late January.
I don't drink. i don't mind being around alcohol/going to bars, but love to do stuff that's not centered around alcohol too (which can be kinda hard to come by in queer communities). i do enjoy going out dancing and going to karaoke though, so it's not like i'm totally opposed to hanging out in bars.
Anyway, just looking to get to know some cool people in the area and find some interesting things (queer and non-queer centered stuff) in the area to get involved in.

The House bill 2965 gets sent to the Senate and today the Senate vote 65 to 33 to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell. The bill is being sent to Obama's desk who has already promised to sign into law. We finally did it!
So tell me what you think ... what is your DADT opinion/story? |
