Okay, before I start: remember, we have a new challenge!!! Go here for info. :)

That said, gilmore_chall needs a new moderator. This moderator(s) needs to be able to do the following:

1) Post challenges on a bi-monthly basis.
2) Post reminders to challenges as needed.
3) Post halls of fame on a bi-monthly basis.
4) Archive challenge posts and halls of fame in memories.
5) Advertise and recruit people to the comm (I'll talk you about this personally, cause likely, I'll help).
6) Be a general cheerleader to the community and encourage people to post.

To be honest, running this comm doesn't take a LOT of time. However, it does take someone who's kind of anal about deadlines and will remember (through some form or fashion) to post the new challenges regularly and post the halls of fame as well. You'll get to pick out the challenge episodes, and you're expected (obviously) to participate yourself when you can.

Think you can do it? Just answer the following questions in the comments, please. :)

1) Do you want to be a moderator or a co-moderator?
2) Do you run any communities, and if so, which ones?
3) What kind of free time do you have? How much of it do you spend on LJ? (Just curious!)
4) How active are you in the Gilmore Girls fandom on LJ? Do you participate in any communities?

And that's all!!

Now, if you don't want to moderate, or even co-moderate, you can still help out in the community. How? You could donate screencaps, make banners for the hall of fame, or even help supply advertisment graphics. :) If you think you'd like to help out the community in a small way, just comment here too with what you'd like to do.

That's it! Comment if you have any questions or concerns. :) Thanks for putting up with my ramblings today! :)

All right, I don't know if there's been one of these or not, but I'm requesting screencappers. All of the Gilmore Girls seasons are on dvd (or will be by the end of the year) except the most recent, and as far as I can tell, I haven't been able to find all that many dvd-quality caps for season three and beyond.

What this comm needs is one screencapper to be willing to cap 2 episodes per month. Seasons will vary (though we won't do the current season), and you'll be given a schedule. Also, we need people who can't cap on a regular basis, but would be willing to cap for a single episode if there was an emergency or something (hey, we all have busy lives. *winks*).

Interested?

Comment with the following:

1) Your availability: can you cap full-time for the comm (roughly, two episodes a month?) or can you help out in emergencies?

2) Provide me with a sample cap. It doesn't have to be from Gilmore Girls, but it does have to have a person or something in it. In other words, no landscape caps.

3) Let me know how you're going to host/display your caps. Do you have online album? Will they be in a zip for people to download? Do you need space? Please be specific. :)

4) What seasons do you have available to cap? Remember, we're looking for dvds, not avis or anything like that. :)

Your caps should follow these standards:

1) All caps must not be any larger than 250K. Even that limit is pushing it, so try to keep it around 240K. This is in case we need to upload your caps to Photobucket or something...

2) Please try to ensure your caps are clear, not blurry. Sometimes, capturing motion can be really hard, and the end result is a blurry looking cap. So, be careful.

3) Make all resolution of your caps 72 pixels per inch OR higher.

4) All caps should have proper aspect ratio. No one likes fat or smushed up caps.

That's it in a nutshell. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. It'd be nice to have an official screencapper by December, but no later than January. :)

All comments will be screened. Thanks!
