I don't know how y'alls computer systems are set up, but we just got a new one, and I've been having fun with the fact that I don't ever have to talk to the kitchen anymore because this system has an onscreen keyboard.

Most places in the area use Digital Dining, I guess, but we just started up with Jonas, after kicking the old crappy system to the curb (only one other country club in the STATE uses the system we had--might that have been the FIRST clue that it sucked?)

So, I had a lady last night want just a plain salad with some tomatoes, cucumbers, and oil and vinegar. Our "house" salad has brie cheese, raddishes, pine nuts, and lemon vinagrette on it (but don't call it a house salad in the kitchen...."We don't HAVE a house salad!!! What are you talking about? Oh, you mean the MIXED GREENS?" Yeah, yeah, psycho cheffie man, the mixed greens, whatever)
So my order looked like so when it printed up in the kitchen:

side salad (n/c)
mixed greens
hold brie, radd, and pine nuts
w/ cucum, tom, and o+v

I didn't realize how bad that last line looked until I had exited out of the keyboard and reread what I wrote....but I left it anyway, because I knew the kitchen would get a kick out of it. :)
