CDC Falcon Drive
The CDC 9414 fixed disk drive we believe was officially dubbed the "Falcon." It is completely compatible with the CDC 9427H Hawk Drive, which was more common. This means that it is also completely compatible with the DSK1/DSK2 drive control boards that Centurion uses without requiring any additional modifications. The primary differences between the two is that the Falcon does not feature removable disk media, both platters are fixed. This does, however, allow the drive to be considerably more compact, taking up around half of the physical space as the Hawk.
