Cross Border Contamination
This October/November Sydney’s Our Last Enemy launches their CROSS BORDER CONTAMINATION tour.

This is the last chance for you to catch the band before they head off to LA to record the debut CD with renowned industrial metal producer Christian Olde Wolbers (Fear Factory, Threat Signal, Mnemic, Bleed The Sky, God Forbid).

After gaining rave reviews all over Australia, the band has pricked the ears of the Fear Factory guitarist and will be locked down in his LA studio for most of January 09.

Creating an organic hype and strong reputation through killer live shows and a distinct style and sound, the steadily growing fan base both locally and interstate has been a result of steady touring since their inception.

Make sure you catch the band before they head off and fly the flag for Australian heavy music in the states!

Sick of going out NYE, lining up for 30min to get into a club then being told that you don't look 'URBAN' enough and then getting beaten for telling the bouncer where to stick it? Or even getting in and then waiting an hour for A drink and then being so crowded in that you cant even sit down let alone stand up anywhere?? F*#K THAT!!!! So this year HERETIK INC. is putting on something a bit different...an eclective night of heavy music and crazy cutting edge BURLESQUE' performances between bands!! MINUS LIFE, VOODOO TRASH DOLLS(burlesque troup from Melbourne), PWS (PUSSYWHIPPED SATAN - aka CODE 6), CIRCE FATALE (burlesque) + IMAGINE NATION. There will be prizes for costumes, giveaways, Darkwave/Metal DJ's and much more!! It all happens @ THE REV on Friday 30th December from 7pm. $3 Imported Beers in the Beergarden from 5-8pm, aswell as a free sausage sizzle! Entry is only $15 so get your asses along!!!!

Also people, for anyone sitting around Brisbane on Saturday night there is a Metal club upstairs at The Shamrock Hotel(next to the Arena on Brunswick St, The Valley) called MOLOTOV. It's only a few bucks entry and is open till 5am.

Ward69Records are proud to announce the signing of Sydney's Infernal Method.
The highly anticipated debut full-lenghth LP 'Architecture of Instinct'
will be instores throughout Australia on the 5th of December (distributd by
MGM - cat no W6913).

Infernal Method are a 5 piece Melodic Deathmetal band originating from
Sydney Australia, who are forging new grounds in technicality and
musicianship in a genre which is prevalently dominated by European bands.
Initially a solo project recorded by Petar (Syphilis, ex Automation, ex
Deadspawn), the recorded works quickly caught the attention of numerous well
known musicians involved in the Australian Metal scene; these being Astennu
(ex Dimmu Borgir, Lord Kaos), Grahame (ex Automation, Neophobia, Cryogenic),
Lee (Syphilis) and Joss (Samsaras Wounds, Shackles).
Two months after the bands establishment, INFERNAL METHOD played their first
at Australia's leading metal event, Metal for the Brain 11.
A 3 song Demo titled "Reanimating The Wicked", featuring the bands initial
works was released in May, 2002 to rave reviews across the metal
underground.

The band quickly aquired a dedicated following, and has played numerous
shows across Australia with some of the countries largest metal acts.
After the departure of Joss and Astennu in 2005, the band aquired the
talents of Evan Williams (ex Flesh Mechanic), on vocals and Matt Sorrenson
(Syphilis)on guitars in a re-invention that saw the band regroup and become
as potent
as ever in delivering brutal melodic metal.

The band has also recently secured endorsement deals with some of the
world's leading instrument manufacturers including the likes of ESP Guitars
(USA), Hughes and Kettner Amps (Germany), Tama drums and Sabian symbols. For
fans of melodic death-metal along the lines of Lamb of God, In Flames,
Carcass etc this album will not disappoint - anyone who saw them with Arch
Enemy on the weekend in Sydney
will attest to this. Preview an MP3 of 'Animating the Wicked' off the
forthcoming album

SIMPLE PLAN concert tickets
I realise this is in Brisbane, but i figured somebody down the Gold Coast might be a Simple Plan fan willing to travel to Brisbane:

I have two tickets to the Simple Plan concert at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Sunday (October 2nd, THIS sunday). My brother gave them to me because I really did want to go, but I decided that paying my well overdue gas bill was more important so if anyone at all is interested....

I have two tickets. I would like to get $50 each and will probably not seperate them. I may negotiate though if I have to.

The tickets can be picked up from Stafford, or dropped off if nearby to stafford.

Please call me on 3501 4042 or 0433 278 015 if you're interested. Ask for Anthony or Julie, either one of us will do.

or even if you're not particularly interested and could point me to any other good places to sell tickets at the last minute, please email me at selaspy@hotmail.com = i'd be very grateful for any help in selling these tickets.

one of my favourite local bands...
manny molecular. from brisbane.

i think of their music as kind of hippy goth - because it is about existential things but has an awesome fun synth/guitar industrial thing going on. manny himself has an original view on life so i think the music is quite original.

20/07/2005, !! Overcranked postponed til the new year 18/3/06
Well the Overcranked saga continues. We are sorry to inconvenience everyone
yet again, but it has been decided that for the good of the festival and the
bands, that Overcranked needs to be moved well away from the end of 2005.
Since originally booking the venue, too many big events
have popped up around that date, and it looks like there's more to come. We
believe it would heavily affect the impact of Overcranked - especially given that Overcranked is predominatly Australian bands. We realise there will always be some kind of competition, but this is too much. The
earliest date in the new year that could be secured is Sat 18th March.

We will not announce the line-up until there is critical mass. Konkhra(Denmark) may not be playing Overcranked, but will still be touring Australia in the summer. Stay tuned for details. We promise this will be the last date change.

The Crisis Therapy are not for the faint-hearted or fashion conscious - they bring pure, stripped-back anger and raw intensity to the fray.
The only image they have is that they are big – not only in sound but in stature! This only adds to the intensity of their live show – where they make the biggest stage look like a playpen.
The debut EP ‘you might as well take me too’ is an extremely brutal introduction to an equally brutal band. The sound is tight and heavy, with production duties handled by Nik Carpenter (ex-Devolved) at Core Studios.
