So I ordered a volume of Swedish Subbed GetBackers yesterday. It already arrived. Yeah. /o/;; Anyway, I had forgotten HOW MUCH DAMN FUN this anime is when it's being silly. Just... Brilliant. (And now I've read puns in Swedish. They were... LAME. Which was just the point, but still. Strange~ Not used to Swedish puns. XD;;) "En katt i en hatt". ... Seriously.
And Kazuki. HOT DAMN. I've forgotten just how feminine/pretty/bishounen he is. I WANT THAT ASS AND THOSE CURVES MMKAY BOY?? ;o; Gosh, I love him~
I also ordered Swedish dubbed anime; Yu*Gi*Oh Battle City (almost 10 episodes), Galaxy Express 999 (all that's been dubbed to Swedish *_*), Lady Lady!! (same... It's only 8 episodes, but WHATEVER). And four movies (DVD box set) - 2 Year's Summer holiday, Frankenstein's Monster, Silver Fang (NOT Gin Nagareboshi Gin) and Helen Keller. Whoooooooooooo anime~! ♥ And I really love 2YSH and FM. Watched them over and over again when I was a kid.
And even when I was 9 I totally loved the fact that hey, almost everybody dies in Frankenstein. XD Lesse. Emelie, the inspector... and one more (forgot who) of all the main characters survive. That's all. >_>
Speaking of Emelie. That kid's seriously gonna need counseling after the movie. (Don't know if they had that in 19th century Switzerland. >_>) But. She watches her pet bird, her mom and her best friend get killed. (Her grandpa too? Don't remember.) And she watches the Monster get killed, whom she befriended. AND. She watches her dad throw himself of a cliff. Yeah. >__>
And going from Frankenstein's Monster to Galaxy Express 999. The woman who voices Emelie also voices Tetsurou. 8D Yeah~ ♥ ... Oh, and she also voices Jaques in 2YSH. (Speaking of the Swedish dubs here, of course.) I remember thinking it was unusual that she voiced a girl for once. (Emelie.) Earlier I had heard her in the Sandybelle dub as well, where she voiced Ricky. (And Kitty, but as she was a young woman, I didn't count that as odd. >_>) And, oh! She voiced Kate in 2YSH too. But she didn't show up until late in the movie. Jaques was in it from the beginning. (Well, he kind of HAD to be. The movie wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for him. >_>)
I don't like moe anime. I don't watch them unless I absolutely have to. I hate harem anime with a burning passion. (Except Kimagure Orange Road, but hey, that's my childhood.) The recent anime season has left me with little to watch.
I watch Durarara. And of course I continue to watch Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. But I'm watching Ookamikakushi, and that is a moe show. Why do I watch it? Because the horror elements (even though they're not as good as Higurashi, at least not yet.) and the simple fact that the main character, who happens to be male, is also moe like hell.
And that's where my double standards kick in, I guess. I hate shows that portray stereotypical and/or objectified female characters, but the yaoi fangirl in me loves a good little uke from time to time. Uhm. Yeah. =/ Why is that?
I'm not saying that all anime shows with a lot of female characters are bad, just look at the shoujo/josei shows, but lately, it's been all about the moe and fanservice it seems. (Ladies Vs. Butler and Chu-Bra! anyone?) I don't even wanna watch Sora no Oto because... Just imagine how much I would have loved it if the characters were boys instead! X_x;;
But for example, a series with a lot of female characters that I did enjoy: Dennou Coil. Beautiful~ ♥
But mostly, in anime, I prefer if there are a lot of guys in the cast. (In live action, I like it balanced, or with more females. It's the sap in me that loves shows like Road to Avonlea, Full House and the like.)
My lips are completely numb. As in... I can't feel them at all. They're not there. It's weird. And I have this lingering taste of blood in my mouth. It feels like my gums start bleeding over and over and over again. Pfft. My mouth's gonna be so sore after the numbness goes away. WOE. ;_;
I think I've gotten Linda hooked on Georgie~! 8D And she bought me a sketch book and some watercolor pencils for my birthday~ We had cake and watched anime this morning~
And in my private RPG with Marie, Eiji's gotten himself a stalker. 8D Who is really jealous of Oishi. So. There will be trouble. >3 Nice stuff~
(And why is there interesting new PoT rpgs when I can't sign up for them? ;_;)
It always amuses me when I run into a fun/odd name of a homepage. Take this one for example: "Gryningsljus" - Light of daybreak in Swedish. Thing is, it's the title of a Japanese Harry Potter fanart page. ^^;; It amuses me.
Tomorrow me and Marie are going to Stockholm. We'll be away for *gasp* an entire day!! >_>;; I can't really afford to live at a hotel or something like that, so... Anyway. SciFi-bookstore, here I come! XD *dorks*
I really, really love the anime Fantastic Children. I have now seen up to episode 13 (?) I think. There are 25 episodes in all. Yeah. ^^ Agi (or what's-his-name) needs a hug. *nodnod* And the story has taken an unexpected turn. I knew it was a sci-fi series, sort of, but I really didn't think much of it. Heh... Love that. XD I'm so gonna screencap and make icons. Oh yes. *___* Tohma is pretty, and I find myself liking Hasmodai more and more. Yeah. O.o
I've been playing the Sims like crazy. It's the first version, and I don't have any fancy skins or anything, so the sims doesn't look all that exciting, but my main family I made consist of two people, two adults. I named them Ryoma Smith and Kevin Smith. Yes, I am a dork, thank you very much. XD I still need them to be comfortable enough around eachother for them to actually kiss, but I'll get there. Yeah. XD
Oh... If anyone can point me towards some great Zack/Cloud-fics I'll be ever so grateful... o.o
Since I'm tired, I'm gonna keep this pretty short. This Wednesday, me and Gerd were at a concert - Rhapsody in Rock. Main performer was Robert Wells (and boy is he cute for a 44(?)-yearold! *___*) and his guests were Nanne Grönvall, Peter Jöback, Shirley Clamp and the woman who plays the main character in the Swedish version of the musical Mamma Mia. It was pretty good, the crowd was awfully lame but the artists did their best. Nanne rocked of course! ^___^
Tommy (my cousin) arrived on Thursday and after spending some time with Hasse (another cousin) and his two small sons, me and Tommy drove out to Sandviken. Thord (cousin. >_>;;) and Kim (his girlfriend) were having a barbecue. Petra (Thord's sister), Johnny, her fiance and their kids came as well, and we had a great evening! Thord and Kim are such great cooks! ^^ Oh, Kim's parents came as well. Late at night, we drove out to inspect Thord's boat. It was so pretty... Not the boat, but the scenery.
Yesterday, Tommy, his friend Peter and I were out clubbing. We went to Gutekällaren, and there weren't many people there at first, but it soon became awfully crowded. Blacknuss (a rap group) played live there. I didn't really listen, I can't stand rap and R&B, but they seemed really into their performance. Yeah. I spent most of my time up in a small room where they only played techno. I really prefer that over rap any day. On our way home, we stopped at McDonald's for a late night snack, but on our way there, I got molested! I mean, really. There was this drunk - fat, ugly - dude who walked up to me and began talking to me while he leered at me. Came with all sorts of suggestions, and I was all: Not interested. He didn't get the picture though, but grabbed me and kissed me. Really. On the lips. Twice. He obviously tried to french me, but I kept my mouth shut. Of course. Somehow I managed to wriggle myself free, and then he was all "but don't you want my phone number...?" I'm too nice, really. I should have just stepped on his foot or something, but I didn't. Oh well...
I've gotten this very, very nice anime: Fantastic Children. Why I bought it was because Minagawa Junko (Ryoma's seiyuu) plays the male main character Tohma, and Kaida Yuki (Fuji's seiyuu) has some other roles, including the main character's mother. ^^ It's a lovely, lovely anime, takes place in 2012, on some southern island, but there are mysterious backstory scenes as well, and a few of them takes place in Sweden! Really!! My country! XD It's all because of Alfred Nobel, so my take is that the scenes play out in very early 20th century Stockholm. Alfred Nobel has got to be the most famous Swede, along side with ABBA... The art in Fantastic Children is old school, and it feels wonderful to watch an anime drawn like that again, it's really been a while. And it's great to hear Minagawa-sama play a boy who's actually pretty genki. Not sulky/snarky like Ryoma or sulky/uke like Ritsuka. :P
I've also began watching Bleach - finally - and I really like it. It has some kick ass characters, even the females *gasp* rock! I adore Rukia, Karin and Tatsuki, and Ururu, Orihime and Yuzo doesn't annoy me. I've only seen up to episode 20 as of yet, but that will change. :P Oh, and Ichigo...? He's hot! *__*
Tonight, me, Tommy and Peter are gonna go see Batman Begins. ^_^ Yeah...
Preordered: FFVII Advent Children. Yesh, the special edition. The fuck-ass expensive special edition. >.>;; I die now. Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Hell yeah! X3
Ordered: Prince of Tennis Memorial Edition - Futari no Samurai & Atobe kara no Okurimono - Kimi ni Sasageru Tenipri Matsuri Bakuten Shoot Beyblade 2002, Victory BB, vol 8.
All from CD-Japan. Insane? Me? Nooooo... >.> Now, if I could remember the site where you can order Tenimyu, and I'd be very, very happy.
Was at the beach today, together with Emelie, Celina and Robban. Fun, fun. ^^ Emelie really looks like Madelene (the girls' mom, my cousin) when she does a funny thing with her nose... @.@ So cool.
I can't wait to see how Saban'll deal with this... I generally don't like censorship but here I think it's warranted.... Digimon does not need ecchi.... go read an ero doujinshi writers!
