I'm looking for some other girls to play Halo 3 with! My gamertag is snapplemodel.

My big accomplishment of the day was FINALLY getting to Lieutenant, Grade 3. I couldn't get the skill of 10, so I was planning on just getting experience points like crazy, then finally today in a ranked match, something clicked and I went from 8 to 9 to 10! :) Sounds kind of lame but it was a big deal for me! I only started playing like a month ago, but I'm addicted. The only thing I don't like is the creepy guys who want to add me and "get to know me" , which never is as innocent as they say it is. Oh well. Happy Gaming Girls!

I have been trying to hook up with other girls on halo 3 forever. Well not really since I only got a 360 in December but usually it's just my cousin and I but we want to have an experience with a group of girls. I'm tired of guys blasting on us for no reason and even when we do just as good as them they say its luck or what ever. Anyway now that I've found this community, does anyone want to trade gamer tags and like play sometime just for fun with out a bunch of overly competetive guys on our backs?

Glad to see there's a place for the women to chat :)
I've been gaming for a long time. Back to the Atari days really. But I've never been very hardcore about it. My husband and I recently got gold xbl accounts so it's been a blast to play together. Unfortunately, I'm my getting my read handed to me on a regular basis. Frustrating! But overall it's a lot of fun.

My gt is UnloadingLissa for the moment, DH is GMLange. When my month trial runs out, I'll likely just play on his account. So if you're ever interested in playing some more... uh... recreational games, feel free to add me and/or DH. But be careful - he's good :)

And on a side note... I can't tell you how often I hear "Yeah, I unloaded on Lisa." Argh! Yeah, I suck, but the name is LisSa. Two s's. Ha ha!

Hey guys, does anyone here live in New Jersey? If you do, there is an awesome new game store called Play N Trade there, it's on the corner of Rt 9 & Union Hill Rd, in the Exclusive Plaza.

I've been there a few times and they are so much better than EBGames or GAMEstop. First of all, the guy who owns it actualy knows a lot about games, and he'll talk to you about them, and he can reccomend great games. They have games from every system from Wii, to old school systems like NES and even Atari. They also take trade ins for old games and they give a much better price than EB or GAMEStop. It's an indivudialy owned store, not a corporate store, so they aren't pushy, they don't have any quota's to meet or anything like that.

They also have a service that no other store has......DISC REPAIR. They have a huge industrial disc resurfacer that they can use to fix any disc, whether its a game, a cd, or a dvd...and it only costs $3. I had a game that wasn't working that I was going to toss, but I took it there and now it works!!!

Another cool thing that they do is that they let you play the game in the store if you want. They have consoles set up where if you ask, they can put in just about any game that they have in stock and you can play it for a few minutes to see if you like it. (FOR FREEEEEEEE) Where else can you do that?

The owner also told me that they are planning a HALO 3 TOURNAMENT!!!!!!!! for Feb 9. First place will be like a $75 gift certificate and they will have free pizza and food and 10% off anything used in the store

Howdy, ya'll! :) I'm fairly new to the Halo-verse, only been playing for about a week. This morning I stumbled on the "Infection" section of the custom gaming/matchmaking. I'm pretty intriqued and would like to play, but the people on my friends list (mostly my brother and his friends) wouldn't really be down for playing something like that. So I'm just looking for a few people to start a party and maybe give it a try.

So we're trying to build a bit of a friends list...and could definitely use some girls since we only seem to encounter jerky guys ("I took your halo virginity, yeah, did you feel your hymen ripping?"), jerky little boys, or cute but too young to listen to us cussing kids...and maybe an occasional dude who's alright.

We both played a lot of Halo 2 with friends and are...decent...my gf more than me...but we don't care how advanced or not friends are, as long as they are, well, friendly. :)

Hey girls, I'm new here. I just wanted to see if there was anyone left who still plays Halo 2. I unfortunately don't have the money to buy a 360 and only get to play Halo 3 when I'm at my brothers house. I'd really love some girls to play with because the guys are always jerks to me. They either think I'm a 12 year old boy, refuse to speak to me, or kill me even when I'm on their team. It's really frustrating. Granted I'm not the best player in the world, I just started playing again after 7 months but I'm getting better again and trying really hard. And a happy story:
I ended up teaming up with these 3 hilarious ghetto guys online. We played quite a few game together and did quite well as a team (I was MVP 3 times! holy crap!). About 3 games in they realize I'm a girl. They laugh for like a minute straight about it (mostly in shock), but we keep on playing no different. It was just really awesome that these crazy guys just did not care at all and made 0 comments about it (We were winning a lot, they couldn't afford to lose me! haha). Well, they did start calling me "Sunshine" for some reason, but that's a heck of a lot better than what they could have been saying!

One more step for "Mistress" Chiefs everywhere! =)

Im not sure how many of you are actually into the story of the game, so I will somewhat brief here....if I am wrong and you also love the story, then kick ass. :D
I was just curious about some thoughts any of you have.
I was at a local midnight release, got the leg. that I had preordered and rushed home. Finished the game at about 9Am, stayed up all night. Well of course watching past the credits is the only way to keep your sanity...I was worried for a bit to be honest.
Anyways, I was thinking that this is probably where the movie will come into play, just my opinion on that....but if you beat the game on leg. you know that planet that the chief and cortana are heading towards...I thought mayb that was onyx....also that "theme" is SOO much like the marathon stories...any ideas from anyone else??
Hope I didn't bore you guys to death.

I just bought an Xbox 360 and halo 3 yesterday for my brother. I didn't get to try the game last night cuz he was playing it ALL night. But I did try it this morning. I'm not used to the controller yet. So many buttons confuses me. LoL.

I was a big frustrated in my first game cuz I couldn't figure out how to pick up weapons or dual wield. And asking my teammates was out of the question since none of them bothered to answer. We won with me being on top with 18 kills, using the assault rifle and beat downs. :D Just goes to show that just cuz I'm a girl asking for help doesn't mean I'm that big of a noob and should be ignored. I'm not asking to be treated as "one of the guys" but I wish they would respect me as a gamer.

Well, happy halo to you all. And if any of you want to play, plz leave me your gamertag.

Yesterday I took the day off work to play Halo 3 all day. Much success! However there are a lot of new features and I'm generally out of practice with any FPS games, since Halo is pretty much the only one I play. I've been playing stuff like Oblivion and FFXI, and we haven't done weekly Halo LANs for quite a long time. Long story short, it's a new game and I have been a bad girl and not practiced.

So last night we're playing on Social, mostly Big Team Battle. I'm still getting killed way more than I am killing. We actually won and I got a double-kill with a grenade. When the match is over (we were playing on High Ground, I believe shotty-snipers) I am going over the stats. I say "All right I got 5 that time!" and one of the guys on my team says "Wow. You SUCK." He had been making little comments over teamspeak that generally started pissing me off. Dude, the game's been out for less than 20 hours. Two people on our team had even lower numbers than I did. So I told him off. ^^

Me: Yeah, I KNOW I suck, that's why I'm plaing social. If you're such a badass, why don't you go play fuckin' ranked.

Grr.

I miss this community. I know it kind of dwindled down after Halo2 had been out awhile, but we have no excuses now!!!

So who's played what? First impressions?

I opted to jump straight into matchmaking last night because I was so stoked. My boyfriend and I played for about two hours doing slayer and skirmish. The new Zanzibar is amazing, and it's nice to have a new game with a map I'm kind of familiar with. We played one ranked double team, and although we didn't know the map at all, we owned.

Anyone played the new territories? It's weird having offense/defense, and the timer takes FOREVER to change over.

So are you guys doing mostly campaign right now?

hallo everyone I am new!! ^_^

got halo 3 at midnight last night (yes last night, I'm in NZ so we're a day ahead) and oh-em-gee its awesome. <3

anyway the real reason I'm posting is to say hi and... to apologise for being one of the girls that gives "girl gamers" a bad rep (maybe just girls in general a bad rep...). here's why:

had to ring tech support today because when I scratched the panel off my xbl subscription (I used a coin to scratch) and off came one of the sections of my code... anyway finally get thru to tech support to try and explain what an idiot I've been and to ask whether they can give me the missing section of my code. I'm pretty sure the guy was thinking, "ugh stupid frickin girls..."

so I'm very sorry everyone!!

and also my gamertag is iheartmilo if anyone wants to add me...? =)

this community is the best thing ever by the way!!

Hello!

So I have been lurking around for awhile & I'm a huge gamer myself.
Well, I want your opinion on something.
This summer my best friend and I are going on a road trip to CA, about a week after I turn 18
[she's been 18 for awhile]

& well, we're getting tattoos together & I have had the idea of a gaming tattoo for awhile.
Like a lot of people, I first wanted the hyrulian triforce symbol with the phoenix underneath.
The only problem is, it lacks origionality, which I do want SOME of.

So, since Halo 3 Beta came out [am a veryyy big halo fan & have been for some time]
I had the idea of a small, somewhat cartoon-like Master Chief.

I found one on a friends page on Deviantart and I photoshopped it onto my skin where I would get it to see what it would
look like. So the picture of that, and about 3 other "possible" Master Chiefs are under the cut.

I would really appriciate any input you have on this.

Hey, can anyone recommend which zone to play in? I've been playing in Underground since I first got Live 6 months ago, and frankly got too annoyed with shittalk, mods, and people just pissing about killing their own team. I'm all for fun, but smushing the opposing team is fun! So last night I changed to Pro and in two games I have never heard the word fa33ot soooo many times! Twas unfortunate that I was playing with my gay friend at the time lol. Anyway, is there any zone that people can recommend? I know that you're gonna get this type of thing where ever you go, but are some zones worse than others?

Seriously, what is it with people who start a match by shooting their own team???

If it's not fighting over a bloomin' Ghost or bomb, it's just general stupidity. It really wound me up last night. I'm all for being pro-active with the slaughter but....on the other team would be nice. I don't expect some git to shoot me in the back when I'm trying to snipe.

If this is an unwelcome post feel free to remove it, but I am desperately trying to find any women who play Halo 2 that have a voice and can help me. My name is Beth and I'm doing my dissertation on hardcore girl gamers like myself! I decided to do it after I kept getting mistaken for a guy and so I'm writing about gender and stereotypes within online games. I'm focusing on the games that I tend to play and I have had great conversations with girls from every game that I play except Halo 2! i have a few questions - if anyone could help me that'd be great...
does anyone know what could cause this to happen?
when i am in a pregame lobby by myself & start the game, after the countdown stops it just sits there saying "Waiting for all players to load maps" or whatever.
This even happens on the non-downloaded ones...the ones that came already on the game.

also...when i try to redownload the Multiplayer Map Pack it fails, but the others go through fine.
Would this be a problem with my 360 or that particular file (like should i try to get the disc with the newer map packs instead of trying to download)

just thought i'd ask here before calling them to try and find out.

I was wondering if anyone has ever been seriously hit on, while playing xbox live? When I mean serious, I mean they ask personal info like hobbies and stuff as opposed to "oh you're a girl? wanna go out?" I was playing last night (finally set up my own account)and this weirdo kept asking me stuff which I kept asking back "uh, when are we gonna play?" I play online to play, not find my soulmate. I want to kill over and over again, beat you in the head when you least expect it, throw in a little teabagging here and there, laugh histarically if you accidently commited suiside because of that gernade you threw at a wall which then bounced back on you(Ive done that several times and boy does it make me feel stupid). I dont want to know what sports you like, I dont want to know how your day went, I dont care if you think Barry Manelo is the greatest thing since slice bread, I dont fucking care.

And I can't play anything on my 360, so I hooked my xbox 1 up and popped in Halo2. I play it on my 360 pretty regularly, actually preferring it to any current 360 games for multiplayer, and I was amazed at how much the emulator sucks for that game on the 360. I never noticed how much harder it was on the 360...I just thought I sucked at hardcored now. But when I played it on my xbox, I went 42 and 25 on my first game...it runs so much faster....I was amazed at how much I was out-BRin everyone.

I will never play it on my 360 again.

The highlight of the evening???? I was in matchmaking rolling solo, and this guy on the other team starts shittalking me right out the gate asking me if I weigh 300 pounds (you know, just cause I'm a girl who plays halo)....match starts KOTH on lockout, and my team and I are owning. He stuck me once, and I heard him say "I just stuck that fat bitch right on her FACE." Well I was up by sniper spawn, and saw someone on my radar trying to do that jump from snipe 2 to snipe 3 on the inside, so I crouch, and when he comes around the corner above me on the lip, I beat him down and one-time him right in the dome, then say "I can read my fucking RADAR you Noob."
And he quit instantly......INSTANTLY. It was so fucking hilarious.

Then I sent him a friend request saying "ROFL...ur garbage, if i sucked as bad as you do at playing AND shittalkin, I'd have quit too."

Mt. Dew and Best Buy were doing a promotion at my college. There were lots of new games to try out for the 360. I was playing Dead or Alive 4 and kicked every guy's ass and got Mt.Dew/360 Swag. I decided to skip class to play video games. There was also a Halo 2 tournament but I thought I had work and didnt sign up....and knew Ide lose anyways. The prize was a Mt. Dew fleese sweater. Yay free stuff!

I am new to this community. Halo rocks! Thats all I need to say. I havent yet done XBoxLive, but my former group of friends banned me from playing deathmatches with them during parties and such because I kicked tail. My boyfriend though loves the fact that I can beat him 9 times out of 10 because he likes a challenge and the need to think of innovative ways to win. Its alot of fun to play.

I own both the Xbox and the OXbox.

I do have a tone of games but I mostly focus on playing Halo2.
