Sunday, June 18th, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, The 48th Annual Harlem Skyscraper Cycling Classic at Mount Morris Park West.  Started back in 1973 by a local police officer to encourage youth safety in Harlem, the Skyscraper Cycling Classic is now a big international event attracting over 500 professional athletes who compete on a path around Mount Morris Park.

BIPOC CLIMB NIGHT AT THE CLIFFS HARLEM

Harlem Bespoke: The Cliffs has a free first-time climb People of Color meet-up night on every third Thursday of the month for Harlem residents and is only $15 for the night or $10 for first timers with all rentals included.

EXERCISE: HARLEM CYCLE ON ACP

Harlem Bespoke: Harlem cycle debuted within the Strivers Row neighborhood on Adam Clayton Powell by 138th Street on the lower level of historic brownstone back in 2016 and now has a second location on 125th Street. Harlem Bespoke: The Cliffs climbing facility in Harlem located at 256 West 125th Street across from the Apollo Theater is another great fitness alternative for the new year.   At 15,000 square feet, The Cliffs is Manhattan’s largest rock climbing gym featuring hundreds of climbs (refreshed weekly), and state-of-the-art climbing training equipment.  There is also has an outreach program for uptowners and bring the benefits of climbing to the local community.  Check out the official Cliffs site for a list of monthly discounts for those who qualify for the scholarship: LINK

Harlem Bespoke: Uptown now has quite a few gym options for those who want to get into better shape for the new year.  A lot of the new residential constructions have private gyms but the equipment therein really only works for a beginner level athlete and those who are a bit more advanced might want to join one of the below options.
