Dr. Lisa Cuddy is the head of Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. She's a single woman (for the purposes of this comm, she is not involved with House nor does she have an adopted daughter) who devotes her time and energy to her work, and to her few close friends.
It's through one of these friends, House, that she comes to know both Ithuriel and Mikhel. She comes from a family who never owned angels and she herself has never had a great deal of exposure to them. Ithuriel and Mikhel are the first she's gotten to know on a personal level and it's because of them she comes to understand the deep emotional and psychological pain they experience.
She genuinely likes Ithuriel. She appreciates his intelligence and honesty. She thinks of him as a friend and is happy to see him freed, so much so that she offers him a job at the hospital so he can support himself. However, when he begins to hunt down the Hunters, she finds herself opposed to his methods. While she understands his desire for revenge, she can't condone his actions and she fires him.
Mikhel brings out a more protective, even maternal feeling. She knows he's severely damaged psychologically, even dangerously so, yet she maintains contact with him because she hopes she can in some way help him. She also enjoys spending time with him, even if it is fairly quiet due to the difficulty in communicating...or maybe because it is quiet.
Despite her conflict with Ithuriel, she works at changing conditions for angels. She does it her way, though, by working with other activists to change society's attitudes and the laws. She tries to lead by example, always treating angels--free or slave--as she would any person: with respect.
