The Student Health Clinic can handle many of Georgia State students’ primary and Urgent care needs. The clinic also offers a variety of other services.
For assistance during a life-threatening emergency on or off campus, dial 911.
For an ambulance and assistance while on campus, call the Georgia State University Police at 3-3333 (campus phone) or 404-413-3333 (any phone). The police can stay with you until the ambulance arrives and are best equipped to help direct the ambulance to your location.

Important Updates
TextCare
All students who have paid their student health fee now have access to virtual healthcare through TextCare! TextCare helps you avoid unnecessary and expensive visits to the ER or urgent care by connecting you instantly with a licensed healthcare provider.
For TextCare virtual care, no appointment is necessary and there is no additional cost. Just send a text to 404-236-6142 to get connected. Providers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!
New Fees:
If you are late to your appointment, a "no show" fee of $15 will be charged to your PAWS account.
Effective September 1, 2025, a $15 cancellation fee will be charged to your PAWS account for any appointment not cancelled with at least 24 hours’ notice. To avoid this fee, please cancel your appointment through the Patient Portal at least 24 hours in advance, or call the Student Health Clinic at 404-413-1930.
Do you want to use the health clinic but are not eligible?
If you are not eligible to use the health clinic because your program waives your health fee, you may be able to "opt in" to pay the health fee.
Immunizations Holds
The fastest way to receive a response from the immunizations team is to send a message via the patient portal, including your name, date of birth, panther ID, and your questions with supporting documentation as needed. Additional phone emails and phone calls will delay the process.
Did You Know?
Immunizations documents MUST be submitted through the patient portal. They are no longer accepted via email, hard copy, fax, mail or in person. When submitting via the patient portal, please ensure that you enter the date that vaccine was given and/or that each titer/blood test was drawn with the result.

If clinic staff are unable to answer the phone due to helping other patients, a voicemail with a callback number must be left or calls will not be returned. Email is the most efficient contact method. Be sure to include your pantherID in all emails!
