IF Secret Santa '11: THE RULES

You must be an established member of indiefucks. No n00bs or lurkers; you guys just aren't cool enough. If you've flaked in the past, you don't get to play either.

Sign up by joining this community (probably a good idea to watch it, too), filling out the application, and emailing it to mariebearpig@gmail.com. You must join the community to see the application. If your application does not include enough detail, it will be rejected and you will be notified. Click here to see a sample application.

Don't sign up if there's any chance you may not be able to come through. Financial trouble is no excuse for screwing over your giftee. If you flake out and don't have a great excuse, your address will be posted publicly to the community. Hopefully, you will be receiving a lot of mean letters and/or cat poo.

Sign-ups close on FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 18TH. You will receive your giftee's information within a few days.

The spending cap is $25, excluding shipping. The point here is to be creative, thoughtful, and fun without going overboard on your spending.

Send your gift by SATURDAY, DECEMBER 10TH. The post office works slow around Christmas, and nobody wants a late present.

Delivery confirmation is mandatory. (It's less than $1.) Once you send your gift, email the tracking number and carrier to mariebearpig@gmail.com. I expect to have tracking numbers from every participant by MONDAY, DECEMBER 12TH.

Do NOT include your name in your gift. You may hint at your identity, but don't give it away yet!

When you receive your package, make a post in this community. Your Santa can reveal him/herself to you in that post.

If you're going to be an ungrateful ass about an "unsatisfactory" gift, don't bother applying.
