So, my wife and I FINALLY got our marriage certificate, after a month of being married, and were hoping to start getting her passport and sending in a ton of immigration papers.
Then we look at the actual certificate...and it's not ours. Yeah, they sent us someone ELSE'S marriage certificate.
Does this mean that Sung Ki Min and his wife, Christine M. Chang has MY marriage certificate? Doesn't that act as some sort of violation of something? Can't I sue the government? Please?
Sigh, I thought not. So I have to spend today waiting in lines and on hold on the phone.

| help! |

Hello all! I just joined this community, and am in need of some refreshment of procedures. I'm Canadian, and am in the US on a TN-1 work permit--basically, under NAFTA, Canadian and Mexican citizens who have training in one of a list of recognized occupations can cross the border very easily and get TN1 status, which is renewable yearly. I'm starting the process of renewing my permit now. It IS a bit early (mine doesn't expire until July), but as far as I'm concerned, better to have TOO much time rather than not enough time. I need to get my memory refreshed on what exactly I need to send to the government. I've filled out these forms before, but it has been almost 2 years since I've had to do it, so I've forgotten. I know about the I-129 and the $$$, but I seem to remember having to send them a photocopy of the relevant degree and some sort of letter from my boss. Is that right or is my mind just playing tricks on me?
Thanks for any and all help!
