This community is for anyone going through, or interested in the immigration process for any country. People experienced in immigration processes as well as people who are encountering the strange and bizarre red tape of immigration are both welcome.
Posting tips
We don't know the specifics of your immigration situation, so talking about "here" and "there" isn't useful. As a general rule, you should define the parameters of your situation in the first sentence/paragraph of your post. Suggested information to include:
Citizenship Country to which you're immigrating Current location Current status (visa, tourist, etc) Desired status (green card, naturalization, work permit, etc)
neorxnawang wrote a long post explaining why it's a bad idea to come to the US on a visa waiver or tourist visa, marry a citizen and then apply for an adjustment of status.
