Hello!
I'm Canadian and my fiance is American. We're engaged, but don't plan on actually getting married for a few years.
So, here are my questions:
How long does it generally take for a K-1 Visa to go through? Is it even possible to plan a wedding in advance when going this route?
When in the process of applying for a K-1, can I still enter the U.S. without issue?
Has anyone filed for permanent residency after getting married in the U.S. without getting a K-1 Visa? I've heard this is sometimes an easier and more hassle free way of going about things. It is how my best friend did it.
