We knew Sinead first as a customer in our Wainscott shop, but this year we got her on the other side of the counter and she has been amazing! We are hoping that in the Fall, when we close for the season in Wainscott, that, when Sinead is not in school, she will be on West 74^th Street!

Thoughts of Summer…….

It isn’t summer yet but today was even better here in the city! Spectacular and sunny, not too hot. The perfect day for an iced coffee and cookie! The perfect type of weather to wander around the city.

And, judging by this photo, which I just received via email, it is also the perfect time to take a road trip to the East End of Long Island. The summer crowds are not around yet but everything is open and you can enjoy what I think are the most beautiful beaches in the world. The ocean side or the sound side of the Island, both are gorgeous. As a Long Island girl I know I am a bit biased, but I have seen some other parts of this country, and the world, and I still think where I grew up is the most beautiful place in the world! Nothing else compares. If you have some time check it out. We have almost all the same delicious goodies in Wainscott plus some others!

Aurelio works out in our Hamptons location during the spring-summer season. I really don’t have the pleasure of working with him that often only when I make the occasional visit out there. He is always very cheerful and ready to make us the BEST lunches!! The Levain Bakery Wainscott location will open for the season this Friday, April 17^th at 8am!

Spring Hours are

Friday 8am – 5pm

Saturday 8am – 5pm

Sunday 8am – 1pm

We will open 7 days on Friday June 26^th. Hope to see you there!

End of Summer in the Hamptons Bakery

We’re quickly approaching the end of summertime on the beach, namely the Levain Bakery location in Wainscott. We’re only open seasonally in our East Hampton location, so if you haven’t yet had a chance to get here– time is limited for this season… come see us.

Wainscott Village Shopping Center, 354 Montauk Highway, Wainscott, NY 11975

Starting September 1 our Long Island bakery is open long (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) weekends only until the end of September. Then we’re closed until next summer. Call for hours, 631-537-8570.

The South Shore of Long Island is intoxicating at this time of year…
