Kingdom Hearts Fanfiction Recommendations

Hello there! I'm new to this and I admittedly haven't spent a lot of time looking reading kingdom hearts fanfic, yet, I'm going to check ao3 and see if I can unearth something there, but I've been very curious about what it must be like for the characters who have lost their worlds. Kingdom Hearts doesn't exactly act like it's /not/ important, but I feel like it tends to get slightly glossed over in lieu of all the action/adventure of the game.

I don't have any particular preference regarding whatever pairings there are, if any, in the story, I'd just really like to read something focusing on that feeling of loss/of losing your entire world/family/life so suddenly and some exploration of becoming aware of other worlds after having yours taken from you

Sorry for my laziness right now, I just figured it couldn't hurt to ask in case someone has something they know of off their head

Any ratings are fine. I adore long fics, but if it's just an interesting oneshot, that would be welcome. WIPs are also ok

So the premise was that it was an AU with Cloud cast in Sora's role. I think it was Leon/Cloud and fairly long? It's been so long that I have a hard time keeping all the details straight. So I'm keeping the summary succinct so I don't accidentally confuse it with other fics.

I'm looking for this Kingdom Hearts fic I read a few years ago.

It was about Sora, and his imaginary friend Roxas. They went to Kingdom Heart Hospital, or at least I think that's what it was called... Riku was the son of Ansem I think? Axel was a pyro who attended... and so on. Does anyone know what I'm talking about an can maybe link me to it?

Im looking for an Axel/Sora fic i read some years ago... don't remember the author. i just remember that it's settles in like the 70s, Sora and Axel are traveling together, i also have a part of the fic, because i like to keep the parts i like, i've looked all the axel/sora pages in ff.net and it's not there anymore, if anyone recognize it please tell me!

“Like what?”

“Do you still feel like that?” Sora asked, now incredibly aware of the openness of his eyes. He wondered if he was
looking at Axel in that same “fix-me-saviour” way. And what about on the dam? What had the blue of his irises done to
Axel then? If Axel felt empowered by his gaze, then Sora felt empowered knowing the effect he could have on the other man.
I make him feel exalted…The situation was sending them both to lofty heights they’d never known before.

“You’re doing that on purpose,” Axel replied softly.

“Doing what?”

They were drawing closer as they spoke, teasing each other with such nearness. It seemed to Sora that there was now
a tangible pull between their lips, like a magnetic attraction that they were holding back. He wondered who would
make the first move, thought about going for it, but decided it would mean more if Axel did.

He held his breath and waited.

“Making me feel like the most powerful man on the planet,” the redhead mumbled, positioning his hand on
the ground behind Sora’s back, turning his body toward the younger boy. “It’s intoxicating.”


Then Axel leaned over and kissed him, just softly at first, feeling out his lips before easing them apart
and sucking briefly on the bottom one. It might have ended there—sweet, exploratory and halfway satisfying—but
Sora clenched his fist into the thin cotton of Axel’s shirt and pressed his mouth forward again. The taste of
smoke met his advance, and it had never seemed so tolerable before as it did when combined with the warmth of
Axel’s lips and dangerous way he kissed.

Their tongues lapped together in a manner that was so completely different from any of Sora’s previous kisses.
It was sharp, and yet remarkably tender, almost inconceivably so. Sora wondered how on earth it was possible
to make it that good as he responded eagerly, now running his hand over Axel’s pectoral muscles.
He could feel everything through that barely-there top the redhead had donned while he was in shower that morning.

Hello. I'm new to the community and I hope this is ok to post here. I have been looking forever for a specific fanfiction of Kingdom Hearts. It's a Riku/Sora pairing story. I read this awhile back, all I remember is that Sora lost his memories for a time and Riku took advantage of it and told him that they were a couple. I don't think they were on the island. I think they slept together and when Sora got his memories back he accused Riku for using him when he was vulnerable. I think Sora ran away and met up with Leon and his gang in Hollow Bastion. I think there was a slight Sephiroth/Cloud pairing as well in the story. I say "slight" cause Cloud like Sora is running away from Sephiroth. I think Cloud and Sora finally forgave the two green eyes men in the story.

Does this story sound familiar to anyone? Thanks.

So I remember reading this fic a while ago and I cant seem to find it again. So basically Roxas goes to a boarding school with his half brother Sora and his roommate is Axel. Axel is in a kind of gang at the school (organization 13). And Roxas and Axel want to be together but they cant because of Xemnas who is a manipulative asshole. I know its kind of vague but if you know what story it is please tell me.

I've been looking for a story but having no luck finding it. It's an high school AU, primarily AkuRoku, with some SoKai and one-sided RiSo. The plot was about a play, Romeo and Juliet where Roxas was playing Juliet to Riku's Romeo. It focused on the budding relationship between Axel and Roxas, and it's just a really, really good read. If anyone can point me to the right direction, I will be grateful forever.

I've been out of the fandom for a while now and recently wandered back because of 3D. I've unfortunately lost track of an AkuRoku fanfic I remember following. It was an AU that involved organized crime with Roxas as a mafia prince and Axel as an assassin. I remember seeing it on LJ, not FF.net.
