Grew up in Traverse City, MI - it's a cute tourist town for golf, snowsports, and watersports, and Cherry Capital of the world. Did Odyssey of the Mind for most of my school years, hung around on alt.gothic and related forums in the 1995-1998 timeframe. Went to Iowa State University'91-96, ended up with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. Moved to Texas (with a brief diversion to CA), and I've been working at NASA most of my career.
I'm rather liberal in my views on most issues, but I try to keep an open mind. That said, however, there are a few topics that brook no debate from me, including, but not limited to: 1) guns are by and large evil, and I will not have them in my life; 2) Shrubya was an asshat, and Trump is 10x worse; 3) as long as they're not harming someone else, people should be allowed any lifestyle they choose.
INTJ: Lord, keep me open to others' ideas, WRONG though they may be.
