I'm wondering if anyone has ever read books by Juliet Marillier, and if so what you think of her as an author? I've got two of her works; Wolfskin and the sequel, whose title is escaping my memory right now.
Does anyone else have any good book reccommendations for the summer?

Well, I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday break if they've been granted one. A friend of mine continues to hold my copy of TSML, it's been at least a year I think, but I do not wish to be impolite and demand it back, although I do miss it very dearly. Anyway, I somehow came across a religion called Jain. I am not knowledgeable about it, but it seems to me similar to buddhism. From what I've read, Jainism pratices a belief in karma, the eternal soul, andmany other things that seem to relate not only to TSML in my mind, but also to Tanith Lee's other books like Biting The Sun. So I was interested in Jainism being a possible inspiration for Lee, and if anyone is as fanatic as I here is a link giving a brief overview of Jainism.

Last night I had the chance to watch The DaVinci Code for the first time, and I have never read the book, but I found it to be a very good movie. Usually I am not entirely interested in mystery novels, but I am considering reading the book after watching the film. I figured that the book could in a way be considered fantasy, and I was interested in hearing any one's thoughts on the subject.

Also, I just finished a series by Juliet Marillier. The first book was Wolfskin and the second was Foxmask. I really enjoyed both of these books and was wondering if anyone else had any interest in them. Has anyone else read either of these? Do you have any other books by this author that you would reccommend? Please share!

Hey everybody!
I know Halloween is right around the corner and I was wondering if anyone is going to be wearing a book or character-inspired costume?
And even if you have no hope of making your own costume(like me having to drive 50+ miles away to the nearest fabric store), what character would you want to dress up as if you had the opportunity?

Hello - a quick update.
I've finished the third book of The Lionwolf Trilogy - No Flame but Mine and am now typing it. I'm happy with it and it seems for me to conclude this opus - but one can never be sure...
Next big venture is to write the third Piratica ( Piratica III: The Family Sea ).
I'm also scheduled to pen two large novellas this year. So I'd best get back to the desk!!
Just before I do, other thrilling news, for me. I'm among five other writers shortlisted for the Mythopoeic Fantasy Award for Adult Literature - incredibly alongside one of our finest living writers - Margaret Atwood.

I think I missed something, because I only thought there was one(!) Piratica, which I read not too long ago. I enjoyed it, although it was classified for people much younger than myself. Has anyone read Piratica II:Return From Parrot Island?
I've been wondering, for nearly four years, whether Miramax is going to actually do anything with the movie rights they bought of The Silver Metal Lover? Lee said they bought them in September 2002. I am severely curious to know what actress you would choose to play Jane? And Silver? Clovis? Demeta?
I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts!
