Sookie Stackhouse has eaten my brain. Her and Eric Northman.
What do you mean, my nonexistant readers may ask?
I first discovered these novels the end of my senior year in high school. Our library had just ordered them abbout a month before I graduated, so there wasn't a lo t of time to read them. I only managed to get through the first two before the library closed for the summer. But back then I did not realize what I do now.
ERIC DESERVES LOVE AND AWESOME!
Also, Bill annoys the shit out of me.
This past summer, for lack of anything to do or read, I picked up a copy of
Dead Until Dark at the local Wally World to read. I quickly got sucked in. In quick succession I bought books 2-4. After that, I found out, to my dismay, that the others were sold out or unavailable. There was much cursing and gnashing of the teeth. I won't ever admit to the foot stomping or fist waving that others may say I did.
But fortune once more smiled upon me. I managed to hook my BFF on these books. I now had a fellow fangirl to...fangirl with.
And, lo, upon entering the sacred walls of Wally World once more, the fifth book appeared before me, waiting to be plucked and read.
However, my local WW has one flaw. It apparently does not want to carry the sixth book. No clue why when it has 1-5 and 7-8. But through a judicious text message conference with the BFF I learned that I DID NOT CARE ABOUT THAT DAMN SIXTH BOOK. With my brain screaming at me that the one missing out was the book and not me, and that I could learn what happened by piecing it together from the next two books and the internet, I bought books 7 and 8 (unrelated note, at the same time I also bought a copy of
Julie and Julia on a whim).
But back to the important stuff, Eric. Eric is by far the best vampire ever. I'm not the only one to think this. BFF agrees with me and she also really hates Bill. Possibly even more than me. Eric is made of awesome. Not to mention the prettyful.
Now, I am just waiting for the ninth book. Either to come out in paperback, of for me to haul my lazy ass to a book store and pick up a copy. Or you know, online shopping but probably won't happen. I have textbooks to buy (blech!!). That sixth book should be on the lookout too. I'm hunting for it. Because I need a complete set of these books. The addiction center of my brain says so.
